Not worth the price they charge
The only pleasant part of our stay was the location
ir wasn’t very clean, extremely outdated, the staff weren’t very receptive and cold
The hotel staff are very friendly. The cleaning staff are exceptional All though decor dated it was kept very clean. Quiet location. Great view of waterfront.
I felt parking rates were a little high. The wait staff at hotel restaurant. Dox could use some customer. Service training. Breakfast buffet not worth the fee.
The location - waterfront. Steps away from the downtown main attractions, neat shops, coffee shops, restaurants. Would recommend because of the location only.
The fact that I have brought to the attention of the front desk reps (twice) my concern about the smell in the bathroom, no one bothered to advise us of whether it was done or not. We may have just stayed for 2 nights, but we were not satisfied with the service, the urine smell in the bathroom. In addition, the balcony that should serve as a good spot to view the lake was covered with spider webs, including the plastic chairs, then only two to use. I had to clean it myself to avail it. You would think the whole room and it's area should be cleaned prior to guest occupying it. With the money we paid for this stay, it was not worth it considering our room is overlooking more of the parking lot and the pool full or kids rather than the lake.
I liked the location very clean and the people that work at the front desk are nice.
the bath room are small but nice.
Absurdly high prices, No restaurant, Breakfast only so-so
Staff were always helpful and busy with their work. Food was very good. Location was very good for city walks and Canada Day celebrations.
The pluming drains in the bathroom (sink/ shower) did not work that well. & beer cans on the balcony from the previous patrons. Pay for parking? - I assumed it was included with the room?
had to ask for my breackfast coupon every morning
Very convenient, very comfortable - central location- generally a good Holiday Inn
Our complaint is restricted to the Dining Room. Overpriced when compared to several local restaurants. There was a choice of eight main dishes and a quarter of them were 'off' the menu. So we went out. Shame.
Good location. Parking available but at a cost 15 CAD/day
Not worth the money. Very tired hotel. Appears that they are tarting it up a little. Indoor pool cold plus although a guy said hi to us in the fitness centre we weren't sure if he was staff as he wasn't neatly dressed and was standing watching the TV. We had to find the changing room door code ourselves which was written in the signing in book. No locks on lockers. Better to keep valuables with you. Room was ok but kept awake by noise from upstairs disco even though it was 3 floors above us. Noise also from people outside our room. If you get a very good price probably ok for 1 night stay.
The hotel is in an excellent location to visit the city of KIngston.
Noisy, thin walls, fitness facilties and romms require upgrading for the price.
The view of the water and the access to downtown. The pool and exercise facility
I have never had to pay for parking in any hotel in Europe, the U.S. or New Zealand. To me that is a rip-off especially paying as much as we did. Our patio door lock was broken and I did inform them about this but not until it was time to leave. As far as, rcommending the hotel that is a maybe. For the money I would say maybe.
