Convenient location near city center.
Queen size bed too narrow (only 140 cm) and poor pillows.
Staff is very friendly and most are quite knowledgeable. The location is very good and breakfast is good, if heavy on breads and muffins.
We reserved a triple room but when we arrived were told the room we reserved was not available. Our family was split up between two different rooms, one very nice (a "superior" room on the 3d floor) and one very unappealing (a dank, very small room with no hot water on the 4th floor). One the second night we were moved to a different room, a triple on the 2nd floor that was spartan but at least smelled alright and had hot water. The quality of the rooms at Lavra varies greatly. The very nice "superior" rooms are not available over the internet but rather must be reserved by directly calling Lavra or having a travel agent make your reservation. We would have done this had we known. Lavra did reduce our bill by a 25%.
The room was lovely and the view was great
walking up to this hotel - the website should put a map that shows where the funicular is and how to catch that up- as they told us about it after we had walked up up the hill. Just glad we didnt have much baggage!
The view and the nice new bathroom.
The location is perfect, near the center, but not in it. The hotel itself is clean and well designed. The rooms are basic, but ok.
convenient but quite a walk uphill . good location otherwise helpful girl at the desk
the hotel was fair for the price. it did not have an elevator and we were on the fourth floor. it also had a smell of sewer gases in our room.
clean, not expensive, location
bathroom was a little to small
Staff was friendly and could answer to all questions. Location of the hotel is very good.
Bed was really old and it made big noise.
Very friendly English speaking staff and central location
The bed mattress is a bit old, hard and noisy. The room faces the street on which garbage collection takes place daily around midnight.
Quiet street (apart from nightly trash pickups), friendly English-speaking staff. Very nice and cheap breakfast shop 10m down the street. Excellent city center location.
Staff is inexperienced (the promised restaurant reservations didn't come through; their tourist tips turned out to be incorrect, causing us to lose a substantial amount of time). Double room was promised but we got a twin instead (twice). Our non-renovated room (at reduced price) had substandard beds. (Simply turning around wakes the neighbours. Imagine the effect of nightly activities.) Cramped bathroom with cosmetic "renovations". Would only recommend this hotel for people on a strict budget.
