Comfy room. Very clean .Handy for everything.Great breakfast.Very Helpful.Good Value.
No Light in room I left my very expensive GHDS as i couldnt see to pack Contacted Gate but they couldnt find them. I know they are there!!!
I stayed at the Gate Hotel for over a month and felt very 'at home'. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
the entrance of the hotel had sick and drink arond it,not a good thing to have at the entrance
the hotel is pretty rough, in need of desperate modernising and redecorating
it was very run down
I like the fact that the room was cleaned regularly and the breakfast was very good. The people were very friendly, too.
Staff friendly & helpful, nice breakfast.
Would benefit from some re-decoration both inside & out. Very noisy outside at night due to the close proximity of bars/beer gardens.
There was a fair bit of noise from the bar below every night unfortunately but as we were rather pleased with the hotel and the staff otherwise, we'll be staying there again in the future.
The staff were very friendly, Breakfast was superb (served by Betty), central location
Noise from people leaving the pub in the early hours of the morning, decor could do with refreshing.
Friendly staff. Pretty good breakfast. Bath, not just shower.
Great deal of noise from rear courtyard. Dim lighting in room. Exterior looked dilapidated.
Nice and clean place. No elevator and the inside of the block contains 3 beer garderns. On the other hand the staff was okay and breakfast was good. So, don't bother if you are a light sleeper or dislike stairs but otherwise very good value for money.
