staff has no service mind. On the last day of stay my flight is on late evening . We kept our luggage at front office. When we return to pick up our luggage and asked for using rest room but she refused even if I informed she that we just check out this morning. She ignore our require for using rest room that is very bad impression.
Horrible customer service! Very rude! There is no hotel parking so you'll need to find and pay for street parking or parking structure...Good luck! Never staying there again!
Close to train.
No hot water, be warned.
Low cost, minimal extras.
You get what you pay for
This place is a bit rundown and shabby, but if you just need a place to sleep after a long day, where you plan on getting up and out early the next - it's tolerable. Cheapest place I could find on a busy weekend. Close to the red line so you can travel thoughout the city without your car.
No parking, no elevator, questionable cleanliness. Entire place needs fumigated cleaned, modernized and updated.
Do Not Stay Here
Rundown Dirty Seedy No elevator Little to no hot water or water pressure No ice Scary location Discourteous staff Charge way too much for zero amenities
It was in Chinatown.
The place was a dump. Our bathroom didn't have a doorknob, it had a plastic cup jammed into where the doorknob once was.
The hotel was in a very convenient area.
They did not have my information, so it took awhile to check-in.
free parking on streets
small room & too far from city
Easy transport to city center.Price is cheap. Free internet.
There is a little humidity in hotel. Some renovation is needed especially carpets.
The only positive thing is the location of the hotel, there are many good chinese restaurants in the area, the train station is also close by.
The staff were rude the behaviour was as if they were doing favours to their guests even for small quesions like asking for clean towels, I was given a room in the 3rd floor where the central heating was turned off as I was the only guest in that floor so it would have cost more to the hotel to run the heating for only one guest, the room on the 3rd floor was ice cold. When I asked for change of room I was given a smoking room even if I asked for a non smoking. The hotel is totally run down and the rooms are filthy. You feel suffocating staying in the room. The check out time is 12 in the afternoon but I started to get call from the front desk from 11 am to vacate the room. Think 10 times before you book in this hotel.
Chinatown Hotel is in fascinating Chinatown. There one can forget that one is in the USA for some time. One can enjoy great Chinese food from morning till midnight. One is a short walk from the CTA Red Line which runs 24 hours. You get a simple and basic room -- hot enough shower, hard enough bed, space enough to unpack and pack, quiet enough. Microwave, refrigerator, and public computer are in the lounge.
The desk clerks seemed overworked.
The room was very small but cozy.
The streets were very noisy and the closet was bigger than the bathroom. Only one person at the desk spoke English (but she was very friendly) and the hallways were very small too.
Location and dining posibilities around
nothing, service is very bad
The tv in the room has the "China Central tv" channel, which is a Chinese language channel from mainland China.
Very loud noise from a truck outside in the morning.
