Well the arrival airport was changed to Narita $32.00 per person for Airport Limobus to Haneda. We get off at Haneda and are informed we cannot stay there and wait at the domestic airport for our 6:25 am flight to Naha. We had to load all 6 pieces of luggage on the shuttle bus and transfer to the international terminal because they close the domestic terminal at midnight. There was no hotel accommodations at the domestic airport as the hotel was booked two months in advance!!! We had to wait at the international airport terminal till 4:30 am when we then transferred back to the domestic terminal with our 6 pieces of luggage. Tell me how happy you'd be!!!"

優點： "I traveled with my wife and twin sons who turned two last month. It was our first time to fly with the boys, and we were nervous about the flight for this reason. Thanks to ANA's staff both on the ground and in the air, everything went very smoothly. When we arrived at Haneda Airport (around 1:30pm), we went to the Special Assistance counter to get a stroller. The staff was friendly and patient, and didn't rush us at all. (It took a little while to get our things in order.) I was surprised to learn that we could check in from there, drop off our checked luggage and receive boarding passes, as well as an airport stroller. In addition, the boy who was awake at the time received an ANA airplane clip. We didn't get to the gate in time for pre-boarding. I was dismayed to find out that we'd have to take a bus to the aircraft. We had the maximum number of carry-on bags, plus two babies, only one of whom was in a carrier, and we learned that the stroller couldn't go on the bus. A gate agent brought our carry-ons onto the bus. She found priority seats for us and a place nearby to fit a bag that couldn't fit on one of our laps. On board, the cabin attendants were attentive and friendly, and gave toys to the boys. When we arrived at Hagi-Iwami Airport, two of them even carried all of our carry-on bags off the plane for us. (They also helped with our carry-on luggage upon returning to Tokyo. In fact, we had forgotten to reserve a stroller for when we deplaned, and a flight attendant tried to find one near the gate, to no avail.) When I think about all the positive experiences we had in a span of about three and a half hours, I am amazed at all the different people who helped to make our journey easier. I cannot imagine it happening in my home country or on most airlines I have flown."

We missed our bus because of the delay, The airline staff in taiwan took all of our travel info and said they would help us book other transport to get where we were going in Cambodia. When we got to Cambodia the check-in desk was closed so info told us to go to the china airlines office - we waited almost an hour and still no one showed up (middle of the afternoon). Had to pay 6x the price to get to Sihanoukville plus we weren't able to get a refund on the bus tickets. Crying, screaming kids in front of us kept standing up on the seats so no one behind them could see the TV - staff said nothing. Terrible experience."

The captain has no answers for the alarmed passengers, in which all they could say is if we step off tge plane we choose to leave the flight. Almost in the tone of a threat. We were all fewring our safety for the 9 hour trek over the pacifac ocean. After going back and forth for about 45 mins they finally said if you dont feel comfortable follow me and we will try and locate later flights for you all. 60 of us left the plane and ultimately got flights 12-24 hours later. Horrible experience, horrible communication, no appologies, and on top of that they did not send my bag with the correcr plane, in which I had recieved it 4 days later. My replacement flight wqs on EVA air. Much better airline in which I will never travel with China Airlines ever again."

If the journey is as important as the destination, then it already failed the minute I was seated in a very intimate setting alongside strangers and seeing the economy class fully booked. The airline defended this by saying they have special economy seats but I complained that this is not equitable since the seats are limited and not everyone could afford an upgrade. Even if they could, the passengers would still be seated side by side and the total number of passengers aboard a tight and enclosed space or load factor is still very high. The airline’s policy was so inconsistent with the very rigid rules of the different government agencies upon disembarkation."

Overall this was a good experience as value for money as the price was cheaper than many other direct long haul flights"

And music tracks should be in a tracklist form with song information, not only 1 hour-long tracks of back to back music (with no info). Meals - Mains were ok, deserts were terrible in both of my flights. Snacks were also bad, a scone and beef and cheese sandwich. Very blend, white bread only and oily. We weren't served enough bevarages, so oily and high-carb foods made me very thursty. No water fountains, it'd be great to have some around since staff does not give enough beverage and I was forced to chuck my water before boarding the airplane (the water I bought in the airport after passport check!!!!!!!) It was extremely cold."

That pretty much sums it up but here’s a laundry list of issues I faced on the trip 1. They landed us in a different airport in China and did not inform us on how to get to the other airport (PVG). After several failed attempts of catching a taxi that accepts Visa or US dollars, we finally got a bus that ferried us 2. They also did not automatically transfer the luggage, so I had to carry my two checked in bags to the other one and then stand in a 45 min queue to get them checked in again 3. Unhelpful ground staff 4. Delayed second flight. After a shitty eight hour long layover, we got another 2 5. Horrible food 6. No ear plugs are available in the plane 7. Not a single apology from the crew about the delay Also, anyone who doesn’t speak mandarin needs to understand that the crew in China is not well equipped to understand and help you, so be prepared to have the translation struggle"

My shortened layover in Shanghai due to Manila delay was still 45 minutes but Inwas being asked to transfer and get another flight through the transfer desk. Luckily After a few minutes in line at the transfer desk, was allowed back on my original flight. However and unfortunately, it was due to another 2 hour delay. arrived Rome 815++ pm ISO 6pm."

The seats were quite comfortable for a short flight, it was a visibility newish B737-800 aircraft. The food was bland and flavourless, but they did serve fruit and Haagen Dazs"

The single most frustrating thing about flying any Chinese airline though is the blanket ban on all mobile phones during the flight, even in flight mode. 缺點： "I took 2 connecting flights back home, both flights were delayed by 2h and 1.5h respectively. No estimated new departure time was given, and the staff took very long (well after the supposed departure time) before they made an announcement for us to apologise for the delay. Service was mediocre. Half the time the crew was no where in sight, so it was difficult to ask them for something. When pressing the bell for service, they also took very long to respond. Once, when i had asked a steward for water, he was busy and told me to go to the back of the airplane to get it myself."
優點： "I was lucky enough to travel on the 777-300 new config business. Pyjamas to boot, never had those in biz class before. Hats off to China Eastern, exceeded my expectations and beat the competition. Gutted my flight is with Lufthansa from Shanghai to Frankfurt. Will definitely be looking to fly with them again. Can't comment on economy as didn't get chance to look around."
