優點： "Well, I got to my destination. We were bussed from a maintenance area to the arriving terminal. That was about 15 minutes of ride time. Then we waited a long time for our luggage since it was not actually at the terminal either."

缺點： "For India-to-US journeys, China Southern routinely misses the short connection. The second flight does not wait for the connections and there is no plan for the predictably stranded passengers. The airport is littered with stranded travelers. Alternate routings often involve transit Visas which take some eight hours of queuing up. In the meantime, business and economy travelers alike are stranded without food, water or information in a BITTERLY cold terminal. There is no food or drink to buy. On top of that, officials and service people don't speak much English. Given the experience of my co-passengers today and those stuck in the terminal for the past few days, one has to wonder why the airline flies these sectors at all."

We were given a sticker to show that we were going to go on which I think was supposed to help us get through passport control faster. No one helped us even though we had stickers. We missed our flight to PEK and had to catch the next one. This caused us to miss our flight to LA. Not very happy. Why can't the luggage be transferred to the next flight instead of having to pick it up and recheck?"

優點： "I have flown a lot of Chinese airlines because I live in Beijing, and they are the best! I had a 9-hour layover and expected to sleep in the airport overnight. However, they provided a free hotel! I really appreciated it and they did it without asking. Also they spoke English and were very polite and nice. In my opinion, Chinese airlines are usually terrible and the staff usually has terrible English, but China Southern was amazing!"

缺點： "On Sep 14th, I paid on your websites with the confirmation of three airline tickets from Chengdu China to Los Angeles. All the information I provide for each passengers are correct. However, due to the fact that you missed up three of the passengers information, they couldn't check in yesterday. The whole fight to LA was missed. As a result, we had to pay very high price to buy new tickets for the next available fight in order to complete the trip. I'v made four phone calls with your agent, with all records made. 1) The 1st agent confirmed that the information I provided were all correct for each passengers. So she believed there was nothing wrong and did nothing to help. 2) The 2nd agent realized the information were mixed up. But it was too late to let them check in. 3) The 3rd agent confirmed that the issue were caused by your system. He said only the supervisor could deal with this matter. He gave me a number which is not valid. 4) Finally, the 4th agent said you would contact me. No response by now. Still waiting for the response. Very disappointed after all."

缺點： "China Southern lounge in Los Angeles is very disappointing compare to any other. Out of 4 flights we had 2 delays of 2-3 hours each. Food is not in the quality you expect at least not for business class. They take your headphones 1 hour before landing while the movies run until 15 min before landing."

TERRIBLE customer service. I will never fly this airline again."

優點： "it was cheaper than others, which is why i took it. the crew was less interested in good customer service than many other airlines, though they were polite if you asked them for anything. huge double decker airplane, not much turbulence, decent entertainment system. food was good enough but nothing fantastic. seats were fairly small for a 12 hour flight. i'm not very big myself so i can't imagine how some others might have felt. i wouldn't say that there was anything very bad about the airline or the flight, but there wasn't anything great either. very mediocre."

缺點： "* Failure at communication: At check-in we were told that they cannot route the luggage to the final destination (Shanghai). We will have to fetch the luggage from the luggage belt and check it in again at Chengdu airport from scratch. Also it was not possible to get the boarding pass for this flight online and select seats. This was brand new information for us. Nor China Southern, nor KLM nor Kayak did inform us about this at anytime. This never happened to us and if we knew in advance we would not have booked this connection (one in Amsterdam and one in Chengdu). Passengers need to be informed about this! Some people mentioned this is Chinese state policy, still not sure about this though. * Horrible transfer experience: In summary we were on ourselves, information was absent or just plain wrong by the ground staff at Chengdu airport. Which resultet in us queuing in 3 different lanes. Even in the first lane we queued, following official signs for transfer, the first staff told us we can queue here but then the lady at the counter (after 30min queueing) told us to go somewhere else instead. We had to wait in the rain to take a shuttle bus to another terminal. There we then queued at a China Southern counter, but it turned out to be incompatible with our ticket (booked with China Southern but operated by China Eastern - not communicated to us). Hence we queued yet again at a China Eastern counter which was eventually the correct one. Common to all this was the negative attitude of all staff which basically didn't care at all and were just incompetent. Note that this was not a language issue, as one of us is fluent in Chinese. * Once boarded the plane, which was 25% full, we were even disallowed to change seats due to "weight balance issue" (which seems to be just a joke given the weight of the airplane itself...). Note that the check-in agent explicitely told that because the plane is half-full we can just freely select an empty seat - yet another false information. * Conclusion: 1. Transparent information is they key for making a booking decision. 2. Do not fly via Chengdu airport. This will just ruin your trip. This airport is not ready to serve as international transfer spot."

My seat wouldn't stay reclined, so I had to push down on it the whole time. I took a flight from JFK to Taipei with a long layover in Taipei. No significant delays, but the boarding process in both areas was unorganized; everybody just kind of lines up in a large mass. Boarding doesn't actually begin until like 5-10 min before the stated departure time, so actual departure is also pushed back. However, we ended up arriving around the stated time so I guess it doesn't really matter."

優點： "The flight attendants and ground staff are always friendly and helpful. I get great deals on China Eastern flights.I just went to Honolulu from Taipei for less than $700 USD I just hate that long lay overs come with it."
缺點： "I hate that in order to get great prices flights you have to have crazy long lay overs. For example my flight to Honolulu layer over in Shanghai for 21 hours. Before my flight f4om Ningbo to Taipei, I had a 10 hour lay over. I spent more time waiting for flights than actually airborne. I honestly never enjoy the main entres of the meals on this airline."
缺點： "This ridiculous airline and it's rude, obnoxious staff in Chengdu made a mockery of my friend and I (two 21 year old American girls traveling alone). We had booked round trip tickets back in October 2017 that included a 1 hour layover in Chengdu first, then a 7 hour layover in Shanghai on our way to Bangkok for a trip in Thailand. That was fine with us. Then all of a sudden it changed to a 6 hour layover in Chengdu then an 18 HOUR layover in Shanghai. We decided to deal with it and get a hotel room in Shanghai, no big deal. After a great trip in Thailand and leaving fine from Bangkok to our first layover in Chengdu, that is where the nightmare started. First off, going through Chengdu customs, I don't know if it is because Americans do not travel through there a lot, but the officers pulled us aside and were passing around our American passports around their staff, taking pictures of them with Iphones before handing us "in-transit" paperwork to fill out. As weird as that was, no one really seemed to speak english and we just wanted to get away from them and get through. When we went to the check in counter, they handed me a boarding pass for our flight at 1:50 that afternoon, but then proceeded to tell my friend that she wasn't on a flight until the next morning at 7 am out of Chengdu and our original connecting flight out of Shanghai at 11:50 the next morning was now at 8 pm for her. What could have been simply fixed like it WAS after calling priceline and our travel agent, the staff at the ticket counter and a representative over the phone made our lives living hell. They barely spoke english and the ones that did were very rude to us, saying that they couldn't help us and put us on the phone with China Eastern. FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF we were on the phone with a representative who was talking us in circles, telling us that there were no available seats on the 1:50 and that he could get her on the next 3:45 out of Chengdu, then put us on hold to come back and say he couldn't only change 1 domestic flight in China, but would have to cancel her flight to NY. When offering to pay to just DO IT and get out of china, he said that if he were to cancel it and take our credit card info, it "may or may not go through" and if it didn't she would be stuck with no flights. When asked how that made any sense, he proceeds to say" Because miss, our system sucks," and other rude things like "Why can't you just keep your flight and meet your friend in NY." then him along with a rude ticket counter guy say that he could help us if we took 5,000 yuan out of the bank and paid them cash. TRYING TO SCAM US. After all this drama a simple call to priceline was able to fix the problem no payment involved, and there WERE available seats on all the flights and a domestic flight could be changed. LYING, SCAMMING, RUDE, individuals. Definitely worth a little more money to take any other airline BUT THIS ONE."

缺點： "This flight was delayed 12 hours. They kept the passengers in a terminal that was partially open to outdoors, and this was in the middle of winter and it was only 35° F. In fact the reason for the delay was because of weather. When asked about a Plan B, they talked in circles and gave us no real answers. Every hour they said wait another hour and this went on for 12 hours. Had they just cancelled the flight early on and made other arrangements, passengers could have gotten out of the cold and gotten food for themselves. When told that people were hungry and freezing, instead of moving to an indoor heated terminal, they simply brought down airplane blankets which did little, and a case of water bottles and airplane food to which they only passed out to the Chinese passengers and when any nonChinese passengers went to get food or water, there were turned away. I truly have never experienced anything in my life like this. It borderlined on inhumane. Worst experience of my life. Do not ever fly China Eastern."

China Eastern made no effort in helping me; essentially pointing the finger at the online booking agent (Kayak/Justfly) who in turn, pointed their fingers back at the airline. All parties refused to process my ticket OR refund my cost. Eventually I bought an additional ticket directly to the city of the final leg of my itinerary so as to avoid the visa restrictions on multi-city layovers. Only to find that China Eastern would NOT honor the ticket from Kunming to Vancouver as I had not been on the first two legs. Again, no solution was offered and no refund provided from China Eastern, Kayak or Justfly."

But Nanjing Airport was not that busy. Although it was drizzling, it was not windy at all. Soon after they announced that there would be delay, they decided to serve meal while the plane was on the tarmac. A new experience for me. On top of that, the passengers were noisy."
優點： "The flight was perfectly OK. No major issues (except for a little weather delay that wasn't China Eastern's fault). The seats on the A332 were comfortable and reclined a little more than in American carrier's planes. The food was standard airline fare and served its purpose."
缺點： "No rear seat entertainment for an 8+ hour flight. The main screen entertainment would have been OK, if you I was close to a TV screen. They only had screens come down on the center aisle of seats and not on the sides, so viewing was difficult."
