Food service and attendants were great. I was in seat 41K which is a smaller seat and in a 2 seat row, I should have been made aware of this.
There was a little delay in the boarding

優點： "The crews on ANA (Flight Attendants) are the hardest working, most polite and service oriented of ANY carrier I can remember. When the cabin lights are ON, the crew is hustling to keep the passengers occupied and chewing. Free Beer, Wine and mixed drinks in Coach! Every Service - Snack, Drinks, Lunch, Dinner, Coffee/Tea, Second and Third rounds of drinks includes a cold towel to wipe your face and hands and most important, trash is collected promptly EVERY single time. WOW. I noticed that Flight Attendants take notes on sleeping passengers for every major meal service, and they take the time to revisit those customers when awake to check they might have wanted to be fed. I also noticed that the crew has special double sided tape to pickup crumbs and spills in the aisles so grime is not tracked into the carpet. Dont be surprized to see a flight attendant cruising the aisle after dinner with a soft cooler full of small vanilla Hagen Daz cups..."
缺點： "We flew from Bangkok to Washington Dulles with a connection in Tokyo. Snow in Japan caused crew shifts to max out and ultimately a dramatic change in flight departure. (Guaranteeing a missed connection) This caused multiple downstream challenges. 1. Original flight was scheduled for 00:30. (Half Past Midnight), rescheduled flight was scheduled for 12:30 (Half Past Noon) For Americans unused to a 24 hour clock, this made emails From ANA very difficult to wrap your mind around. Was it a typo? What happens when you miss your connection? (Turns out weather delays do NOT result in accommodations or meals being provided) Rescheduled flight should have been for 1231 with (AM/PM in Parentheses) 2. For passengers who spent their vacation/trip near the equator, the prospect of spending the night in snowbound Tokyo was simply not addressed in the cancellation email. The better option was to stay in your original point of origin and make the connection in one day, but email has NO telephone number for passengers to call to make these arrangements. (We ended up calling a toll California telephone number to be sure we got an English speaking agent) 3. Many SE Asian departing cities have a crazy baggage weight policy that allows for Two bags of 25 Kilos each , but if you have a single bag that weights 32 Kilos, you must pay excess baggage. Although the policy may NOT be specific to ANA, there are hundreds of folks of all nationalities repacking suitcases on the floor of the airport, to try to meet the regulations. As a traveler I understand this, but as an ANA customer it makes no sense, especially when the ticket agent cannot charge the overage to a credit card at the ticket counter. Instead sending you to a different location then waiting for you to return with a receipt. Its a huge scam and ANA can do better communicating the rules to passengers via email or their web site. Nothing starts a long trip off worse than arguments over arcane rules. 4. Changing a return flight arrangement as a result of weather happens at the last moment, but seat assignments apparently could not keep up. I would rather NOT fly than face a center seat in coach for 14 hours. I cannot explain what happened, but repeated attempts at advance check in showed NO assigned seats available, the ticket and gate agents could not improve on this, but BOTH flights ended up having empty seats and in the end we stressed for nothing. ANA must be able to do better, improving their IT systems to make advance seat assignments possible no matter how challenging the problem of "equipment" and other changes in the face of a canceled flight."

We need extra time to be organised and in our seats for a very long flight. If not we block the aisle. I was disappointed that they didnt come through the cabin from time to time with snacks as most airlines do on long haul flights."

The booking on line for us senior citizens is very confused to use especially we are not efficient at it. Questions asked going around and around. Better go to a travel agent and have them done for us. ESP the pre check in and order of meal. A third person with experience help me to complete my pre check in. HORRIBLE !
The staff were excellent considering it was a jam packed flight. We had to wait nearly an hour for our baggage to appear on the carousel. That was a real shame.

缺點： "I was booked on flight QF 74 from San Francisco, connecting in Sydney (3 hour connection) to Queenstown, New Zealand. When I went to check in I was told that I needed a transit visa for Australia because of my Indian Passport. When I booked the flight back in September, it was not a requirement to have a transit Visa. I was told by the Qantas supervisor that this was a new requirement as of October for Indian and Chinese passport holders even with brief connections. 9 people were in a similar situation the day before and denied boarding. I understand that things change, but I am very disappointed in the service provided to me. Of course, they could not help me get an evisa for Australia, but they were not even willing to help me search for it rebook a Qantas flight connecting in a different city/country. They did not even connect me with online reservations directly to quickly do something to be able to continue on my journey. They only gave me a phone number to call and sent me away. I tried the number and was on hold for almost an hour. Luckily, my friends were on a different flight on Air New Zealand that had seats leaving in 2 hours, and I almost missed that waiting to talk to someone from Qantas. I booked a ticket with Air New Zealand (by talking to their checkin agent, who was able to connect me directly with a reservations agent via a direct line, which was something I was hoping Qantas would help me with at a bare minimum) and I was able to purchase a ticket for that Air NZ flight and continue on. I’m VERY disappointed in the way that I was treated and not provided with assistance in a timely manner. I would have almost missed that flight and have to miss out on pre-arranged travel plans losing out on an additional $2000 in tour / accommodation bookings."

The Qantas staff was able to re-arrange our seats together for the long flight over the Pacific. We also got to celebrate New Year's twice, since we crossed the International Dateline."
缺點： "I was not a fan of the A380 prior to my flight, and was even less of a fan after. The boarding in Melbourne was chaotic- for some unexplained reason, Qantas felt the need to quarantine the seating area around the gate. This led to a minor stampede as all 5,000 passengers thought the flight was boarding. The Qantas staff at Melbourne, from the check-in desks, to the boarding crew were all apparently over-whelmed. It wasn't any better upon arrival at LAX- the baggage area was chaos as our arrival apparently caught the LAX baggage handlers by surprise. I had a four-hour layover in LAX, yet still managed to miss my connecting flight after an excessive delay getting our checked bags, the line through customs, and rechecking in through the TSA - and that was WITH an expedited screening pass."

The ground crew couldn't have been nicer in expediting my boarding and getting me on the flight. I can't thank them enough. Top service. Thank you. The flight still arrived 25 min early after great snack and smooth flight."

We made the plane 20 minutes before scheduled departure"

No direction, terrible communication. The attendant in Bali lied to me, knowingly. I had to miss a day of work due to this. MH609 was delayed from 2305 till 0030, all passengers board the flight and we were told to alight again due to technical faulty. Switch to another flight and delayed till 0230. By the time we arrived in Singapore, it is almost 0340. Collected the luggages, clear custom and arrived home is almost 0500. There was absolutely no refreshment provided in between, and have to switch between gates which are far apart."

Steward was kind but rough - efficient like a robot... and the headphones are very poor, I could hardly understand what was said when watching the films."

The backs of the seats were torn and spots from drinks and dirty hands on the backs of the head rest. All the magazines were WELL worn and one had gum between the pages. 缺點： "Though it wasn't part of the flight, the business class lounge at KUL is just a step below the excellent facilities at airports like HKG. Just a step though, mostly in the shower area. Food options were great though. And take advantage of the Massage Spa within the lounge."
