And yet they conveniently said no food/drink beverage for safety reasons. Good way for the airline to save a few bucks. Other airlines (like JetBlue) block out adjacent sears and give snacks in individual bags but this... I flew several times since the pandemic began and this was by far the worst. What a joke of an airline. Never flying them again"

This caused a significant proportion of the passengers to miss their connecting flights. American didn't do anything to help other than offer a "discount" of about $10 off of over $100/night hotel rooms in the Philadelphia area to sleep overnight in Philadelphia. This was absolutely lousy customer service by American, and will definitely make me avoid American Airlines in the future."

缺點： "They boarded the plane, only to tell us they had to de-ice, which is understandable. However, after waiting 20 min for the de-icing that never came, they made us get back off the plane because of mechanical issues. The captain/pilot was rude to the woman working the desk over the radio, to the point where she had to leave the desk and go speak to him in person (she knew we could hear everything.) That conversation is also how the whole line of people was informed that then knew about this mechanical issue since the night before, and chose not to fix it before boarding all of us. After getting to Philadelphia later than expected, we were forced to pay for hotel food that was horrible and overpriced. Only to then have our plane be delayed AGAIN because of mechanical issues, again the pilot not giving much information to the attendant she was faced by a room of 40 angry people and had no answers. The departure time slowly crawled out longer, and the only reason I knew was because of having the American app. Information/communication on all ends was poor. I usually fly Allegiant, which is notoriously “cheap,” and I’ve never had an experience like this. Happy my boyfriend has flown with American before and knew to give us an extra day so we didn’t miss the wedding we paid $800 in airline tickets to attend. Just disappointed."
優點： "I took two connecting flights on American Airlines between Los Angeles and Lisbon period on the website American claims to have charging and or electrical ports in every row. There were none on either flight. To make matters worse, when my tablet and phone batteries both died before the end of the first flight, there was no inflight entertainment, other than 1 ridiculous thing available, on either flight. American has switched to BYOD for entertainment, but forgot to provide a way to charge our own devices. Incredibly stupid."

They gave away our seats, told us we would not get on, would not get our baggage and would not get put up in a hotel. Because of the NBA draft - had to travel 60 miles to New Jersey for a hotel. Lost a day, lost 2 tours, endured additional hotel costs...and the attendant made it clear she was on overtime and we just needed to move on. American Airlines is too big and consolidation of airlines has not been good for the public."

I would have missed my next flight if they didn't wait for us. Also I couldn't check in online beforehand, which was frustrating. Also I waited in line at the British Airways desk to check in and it was a long line. When I finally got to the front I was told I had to check in at the American Airlines desk and I wish I had been told that earlier. One staff member was rude when I asked him to repeat the food options."

I wasn’t drinking so it didnt matter but at other times this would have been a hassle. Never had this on an international flight. Flight was okay just not top drawer like it used to be. Cost cutting measures have impacted the brand. Would not say it is first tier. Dont mind a “no frills” flight if it results in lower cost to consumer (aka Southwest Airlines)"

Then when we ask about changing to a different flight they told us that the original flight we were supposed to be on (that we booked over 8 months ago) was completely full so that’s why we were moved, and there were no other flights available to switch to. So we accepted that. But when we printed our boarding passes, we saw that our seats were now separate from each other, and they were both middle seats! I don’t understand how booking my tickets so far in advance still resulted in these issues. We were finally able to get an aisle and window seat (not near each other) but both flights had poor to little entertainment, which I wouldn’t have expected on such long flights with American Airlines. Really was letdown. :("
缺點： "The staff member at the gate counter in Philly was very short and rude. She asked for people volunteer to check their carry-on bags and when I took mine up she was very curt. She asked me for my seat number (I didn't hear her) and her tone got worse. A woman who did not speak English need assistance and was turned away by this person with s shrug. The Latina finally stood in the middle of the gate area asking for help from anyone who could speak English. I just spent 18 days I Madrid and never once was rejected when I asked for assistance. I was not happy with your employee and I was ashamed to hear an American treat someone that way. In the employee's defense, she was alone at the dest up until boarding time and was juggling a lot of balls without any other support. Not a good experience."
缺點： "We had five pieces of luggage lost during our flight from the U.S. to Spain. When we arrived in Madrid we were told that all five pieces had been located. When we went to pick them up the next day there were only four pieces at the airport. We were told the fifth suitcase would be delivered when it was located. It's ten days later and there's no sign of the luggage. It has taken multiple phone calls to get the information about the luggage correct. They assure me that they have everything correctly documented and then when I call back they haven't changed a thing. It has been a very frustrating process overall."

They were rude and inconsiderate as they kept suggesting to fly standby. We shouldn't have to fly standby when it wasn't our fault why were late. They told us our bags would be ok going to Chicago and they we would make the flight, but we did not. I do not know why didn't wait for us considering there were 8 others that also missed the connecting flight. We had to fly to Denver and stay overnight with no luggage and catch a 7:00am flight to Chicago. The last surprise I received was my damaged bag when I got back to Chicago. Thank you for making this trip memorable in a terrible way. I will never book or recommend Kayak or use American Airlines again."

I do not know why. I called and had them put us back on the flight. I paid extra for seats so that we could all sit together. The seats were given to others and my family could not sit together. The American Airlines employees were not helpful at all! The agent, Rowna, lied to us that we would be sitting together. They will not reimburse me for paying extra for seats that I did not get. The porter that pushed my mother in the wheelchair was more helpful than any employee."

優點： "Because this flight was NOT full, my wife and I had the entire center section to stretch out. This made our 7.5 hour flight amazingly comfortable. The Airbus A300 was a reasonably new aircraft. Everything was clean and looked good. The food was exceptionally good. My wife and I both commented on how good the food was (my wife stated, "it was the best airplane food ever"). The main meal, the hotbox snack, and the late in flight chocolate ice cream were ALL good. The staff were great, friendly, service oriented, nice people."

缺點： "We booked a BA flight from Pittsburgh to Glasgow, through Philadelphia. We intentionally chose BA because we anticipated good service. We later learned that the flight was serviced by American. Our original flight was delayed one day because we missed our connection due to weather on the East Coast (after six hours at the airport). American re-ticketed us for a flight the next day. After several misstarts in Pittsburgh, we arrived in Philadelphia with minutes to spare. After running to the gate, we were then greeted with what turned out to be a four hour delay. Then, upon return, we learned that our seat selections/priority boardings were all deleted because of the re-ticketing on the on the flight out, and we spent hours on the phone and at the airport trying to get things sorted out and ensure that we had a return flight. One of the worst trips ever in my experience."
優點： "We were notified of the pending delay in our flight from Athens to Philly very promptly on the morning of the 10th. We immediately called and spoke to a British Airways agent and also a supervisor who was understanding and kind enough to accommodate us by reserving seats on a later connecting flight with American Airlines from Philly to Phoenix. We did not receive a confirming email and ended up calling back. We were then told that Vouchers will be waiting for us at the Philadelphia airport with our names."
缺點： "When we checked in at Athens airport there was no information available for our connecting flight in Philadelphia. The AA counter was chaotic, the agents were rude and had changed our seats to 2 separate areas. When we arrived in Philadelphia there were no vouchers waiting for us. The only thing that the agent could find were seat assignments . We stood in line over an hour waiting for her to figure out what had happened and almost missed our connecting flight . Even though my daughter was in a wheelchair with a brace on her leg and in pain, the agent at the counter was not very empathetic at all. The agent also kept saying that this was not correct somebody made a mistake to tell us we were booked and that person will get in trouble. Eventually she spoke with the supervisor and gave us 2 boarding passes."
優點： "Liked all the little amenities - actual meals, USB plugs for charging, free movies and games to entertain my kids, enough leg room that I can bend down and get stuff from my bag under the seat and that I could lean back a little without causing the person behind me to need knee surgery, tilt feature on screens to make video viewing easier when the person ahead of you tips their seat back. Seats were wide enough that I didn't fear jabbing my neighbor in the ribs every time I moved. Ice Cream!"
缺點： "Boarding-we boarded class 9 and had a carry on that was to big so all 3 personnel yelled at me and my husband with my daughter in my arms very loud and disrespectfully " YOU CAN NOT BRING THESE TYPE OF BAGS ON THE PLANE!" Mind you 3 people are saying this while other people were also waiting to board the plane! So I quickly say we do not need 3 people to tell us 1 thing and especially yelling at us like we were kids or criminals because it felt like we must have broke the law the way they treated us! That experience was horrible and ruined my liking for AA"

I received errors when trying to access gogoinflight on my tablet, even when I had the most updated app. Therefore I was unable to use the app during my flight to Philadelphia. Also, when checking in from our original departure location, MCO, we were not provided our boarding pass or luggage tags for our final destination, Barcelona, only to our connecting flight, Philadelphia. The connecting flight was delayed in MCO for an 1 hour and a half, after we have boarded the plane. So we waited in the plane for the whole hour and half while a maintenance issue was being resolved. The delay almost cost us to be late for our final flight to Barcelona. Since we were not given our boarding passes for PHL to BCL it caused confusion when trying to board our plane in PHL to Barcelona, and also caused for our baggage to not arrive with the flight. After landing, we spent an additional 2 hours at the Airport going through customs, and waiting on line for the lost and found desk for baggage in Barcelona. The lost and found desk had three agents available to assist, however we can only talk to one which was designated specifically for American Airlines. This caused a very long wait time of 1 hour. We were advised the bags stayed in Phildelaphia since they did not have the additional luggage tags, and will not arrive till the next day. Overall the experience within the Airport kiosks, service desks, and baggage check in' s was not a pleasant experience. I believe many of these issues could have been avoided if the American Airlines agents were more knowledgeable and attentive."

During two beverage services she did not ask me if I wanted anything but simply looked at me with disdain and sighed loudly. She wasn't rude; just not friendly and I never once saw her smile. She seemed tired and annoyed. I understand that feeling. I've been a FA for 16 years, still junior at my company, but it reminded me how important body language and facial expressions are when we work hospitality and customer service in the public eye. I hope everything is ok with her and I'm sorry if I did something that irritated her. I didn't get her name."

The wheel chair attendant who initially took me to my gate in Las Vegas was very friendly, and helpful, and she did everything she could possibly have done, short of leaving another passenger to come take care of me, which wouldn't have been right. I was there when she called her supervisor and advised him/her of my location and of my needs and she received confirmation. Was not her fault."
缺點： "I checked in with American and a wheel chair attendant assisted me to my gate. My wheel chair needed charged and I was two hours early, so the attendant sat me at the charging station because there were no outlets in the gate area. She contacted her supervisor to advise of my location and that I would need assistance. Nobody came for me. I gathered my things the best I could and struggled to get to the gate to get attitude from the gate agent, telling me the wheel chair attendant was there looking for me. What ever happen to using a paging system when you know the passenger who is disabled checked in two hours earlier? Had someone paged, maybe I could have flagged their attention, or maybe they could have called the company in charge of handling their wheel chair attendance and would have known where I could be located. Either way, the attitude is uncalled for, especially when I apologized and stated that the wheel chair attendant was expected to help me."
優點： "Equipment was an A330. I was seated in Row 11 and had priority boarding. As a result, I had considerable leg room and not trouble finding overhead space. Seating in the back has several inches less "pitch" between seats. A330s provide a very smooth ride."
缺點： "Food: Salad was good, you could taste the arugula. Chicken, once you scrape off the barbecue sauce, was decent. The rest of the lunch did not seem worth eating. The best option if you are hungry is to either eat in the terminal or bring something you do enjoy with you. The movie selection had nothing you likely have not seen already. Be aware that sometimes PHL moves slowly. We waited over 5 minutes for the plane door to open. Bags took about 40 minutes to come up. There were no lines at immigration. Connecting in less than 2 hours can be iffy."

Not one smile either to Orlando or from Orlando. (Oh yeah - we were late taking off to start my vacation from Philly because a crew failed to arrive to "start the engines of the aircraft," per captain's announcement. The entire aircraft boarded and sat, again, for 30 minutes without any air conditioning or air flow in the cabin.) Blah experience. Blah employees. And two different captains announced the reasons for delay with an "annoyed tone.""
優點： "I flew first class. Philadelphia airport is horrendous. I chose to fly first class to avoid lines and make flying by my lonesome go more smoothly. There are no special lines for first class there are absolutely no perks to flying first class out of Philly. The first class flight attendant was rude. They ran out of hot food by the time they got to me so I was served yogurt ... I don't eat yogurt. I waited 40 minutes for my luggage to arrive at baggage claim. The flight to Philadelphia from Tampa was a good experience. They had first class lines. The airport was cleaner. The flight attendant Steve, was kind and professional. I was served a hot lunch. I'm a diabetic and when my blood sugar went low he got me orange juice quickly. I waited maybe 10 minutes for luggage at baggage claim. However with the horrific experience in Philadlephia I may never fly American again. Definitely will never fly out of Philadelphia again. I was told by the woman who I sat next to on the way home that she hates American and usually flys Delta for her business trips."

優點： "Flying on American Airlines like many other airlines is a frustrating experience. The added charges for baggage and seat choice are insulting when you are used to flying on southwest. It should all be covered when buying a flight. The people lining up at the door to get on the plane spill out in to the hallways and block traffic trying to get by. Southwest airlines has a number system to get on the plane and therefor avoids the crowding the entrance to get on before all the overhead space is taken. I really think american could learn a lot from Southwest airlines. I will when possible avoid this airline if there is a flight with southwest."
缺點： "I feel as though I should receive some kind of courtesy credit for the poor condition of the plane, friendliness of the staff, efficiency of the staff, and finally for being 3 hours late because failure to adequately fuel the plane. I was skipped for receiving refreshments, the plane had interior panels falling off. The second flight didn't have enough fuel for a 40 minute flight. The pilot told us that we were delayed for rain for 10 minutes but we did not have enough fuel to circle around. As a result we came back to Philadelphia. I missed a graduation party as a result. I had a poor experience. The flight attendants did not greet me on entrance or exit."

No in flight entertainment at all in 2016 on a 9+ hr. flight is unacceptable. Couple that with 1.25 hour delay AFTER the plane boarded. You should not be flying narrow body jets on flights this long. Much less ones with old, uncomfortable seats and zero entertainment options. I don't mean to sound entitled but this experience was night and day in every capacity (comfort, food, service, entertainment) from my flight to Europe on BA. Sad. Lastly, I sat next to a off duty American flight attendant who was quite rude."

Nearby passengers retrieved blankets from their carry on baggage. Glad I had at least a light jacket to throw over me and that my legs were partially covered. Flight went through a series of delays until we were finally informed that our flight would not make the flight departing Philly to SF. Rather than fly to Philly during the DNC, we decided to SPEND ANOTHER NIGHT IN PROVIDENCE and take the flight out the next day. This part of the trip caused me to lose a day of work and spend more money on a hotel and meals. This was very poor planning on your part since there were flights flying in and out of both places, but your company was short one aircraft that would have gotten my son and I home on time!!! This was my last flight on American Airlines and I will be sure to spread the word to my friends and family that you have become too unreliable!!"

Never again will I fly American anything anywhere. Very disappointed. There is nothing positive to say about anything except the fact that we didn't crash. We were also delayed 2 hours and sitting on the Tarmac. Horrid experience."

The attendant at the game was extremely rude and did not care about this problem that I would be faced with. I went to customer service and received nothing but a new ticket. After boarding the second flight, I was asked to move to the back because the front of the plane was too heavy. It was the worst customer service experience I had ever received flying. I will probably never fly American airlines again and will go back to Delta because the level of customer service I received that day."

Business Class passengers can use the Iberia Airlines VIP lounge in T4; its amenities are much better than any American Airlines lounges. On board, none of the crew acknowledged premium level American Executive Platinum members by name; the business class cabin attendants were very set in their ways of providing service with little charm or warm of making you feel at home. Lavatories are in need of being refreshed; the aircraft are former US Airways planes whose interiors are starting to show signs of wear. Food on board was adequate, but not memorable for an international flight."

The final straw was they blamed weather for the delay when in fact it was not being able to find the correct seat belt in due time."

優點： "The seats were uncomfortable. The staff was cold. The food was horrible, I wasn't even able to eat some of it. The chicken was full of bones and grissle. The rest just tasted bad. Most of their planes did not have screens in the back of the seats. Instead they wanted you to watch on your personal device via their app which worked sub par. The baggage on the return flight was delayed and I almost missed my next flight even though I had a 2 hour 40 min layover. Thankfully that flight was delayed 1 hour and a half. Next time I will stick with airlines I know better. Delta, Emirates, and Qatar all offer superior service and upscale aircraft. The 2k spent was not worth what I received."

優點： "Flihht was cancelled night before. Rep said impossoble to get him home the same day. Looking online there were flights available, just more expensive and doesnt follow their policy. Very disapointed"
優點： "The man at the counter gave me a much better seat than I originally had. He was pleasant and very customer-friendly. I can't remember his name but he had brown hair, glasses and a mustache. I was extremely exhausted from my Las Vegas flight and it helped me greatly."
優點： "I did like that we boarded quickly and efficiently. The attendants were very respectful and kept very quiet throughout their food and beverage service so others could sleep which was quite professional."
缺點： "I didn't like that the only guy on the flight that kept his light on the entire trip had to sit next to me. I was able to sleep regardless, and I understand that it is out of the control of the crew or myself or anyone but that guy... but that was less than desirable. Other than that, great flight."

缺點： "I was stuck with commercials for direct tv, two feet from my face the whole trip. I would push the button to turn tv off but it would come back on less than five minutes latter. I had my head phones in listening to personal device but was still distracting. speaker for announcements were extremely loud. the poor lady next to me would jump and then plug her ears. question, if you are allowed one carry on and one personal bag, why do you only have space for a third of the passengers to stow said bags?"

缺點： "Had to pay for my own shuttle to the train station (an hour away) and sit on an overcrowded train for hours. Extremely disappointed. Flight was canceled do to "air traffic control." No attempt was made to put me on other carrier's flights even though there were open seats with another airline."

優點： "The lcd screens in the back of the seats and the availability of watching whatever you wanted was nice. The flight was short so TV cost $5.99. Usually wouldn't do it but the Masters was on so it was a great way to pass the time!"

缺點： "We were delayed at the gate then delayed again on the plane brocade they couldn't find someone to fill the fuel tank. Once that was complete, we had to wait quite some time before the slip came to the plane to be signed off on. The last issue was that they couldn't get the aircraft pushed out of the gate. The only positive was that my bags arrived this time."
