The warmth made it hard to sleep, which is a big problem on an overnight flight. JAL does not provide individual air vents to passengers seated where I was. I understand the reason for this, but I wish there was some way to get more comfortable. The seats were standard airline economy seats, roomy enough and with enough legroom for my sub-6-foot frame, but not the most comfortable."

However, when the meal was being served, there was only a chicken or pork option and my vegetarian meal had either not been properly booked or had been forgotten. When I informed the staff, I was asked to show proof that I ordered a veggie meal. I could not pull up my email confirmation as we were flying and there was no internet access. I had to lug my bag out of the overhead and search for a print out confirmation. I had not come prepared with the "evidence" the stewardess wanted. While the staff tried to be polite, I also found them to be quite rude, demanding that I produce evidence. Could they not have simply given me an extra salad without all the fuss? I felt I was being treated as a criminal for requesting a veggie meal that had, unfortunately, not been recorded in their system."

They served us with a cup of Haagen-Dazs icecream for dessert while a Fatboy is normally served by other airlines. I was impressed by how spacious the foot area of their economy seat is. Because I felt quite comfortable, I slept five hours straight during the flight which is phenomenal to me. I will definitely fly with JAL again!"

缺點: "We had a last minute flight change to extend my business stay in Asia. Our firm contacted JAL on 3/1 to extend the return date from 3/3 to 3/8. We were told that it was done and just call back on 3/7 to confirm flight. When we called back on 3/7, they said the flight was never rescheduled and could not find a voice recording of the request. Despite our offering of evidence of our other ticket from Osaka to TPE (3/3-3/8 round trip) showing that it was not a no-show, and we have phone records of calling JAL on 3/1. Nevertheless, their customer care center in CHINA was firm that it cannot be done. The money has been wasted. Ridiculous service for a 3,500 business class ticket."

The baggage was also quick and I was probably one of the first to get out. It took me about 30 minutes from the gate to the terminal exit."

After a hour-and-a-half delay we finally departed but when we landed at LAX I discovered that they had lost my luggage instead of arriving at 9:40 and being on my way home, it is now 1 o'clock in the morning and I'm still not home because I had to fill out forms and deal with missing luggage. NOT HAPPY WITH MY EXPERIENCE!"

There were 7 employees refused to assist us with their dysfunctional baggage claim. There wasn't a way for us to check our bags until we demanded assistance. Everything else about the flight was great, aside from their lack of availability of a vegetarian option to eat on flight. We made due by eating the salad and cookie that was provided."

The in-flight service manager made me believe she cared about the quality of the service in the back, which was outstanding. It was as good as a full, 13-hour flight could be. My outbound flight LAX-HKG, the dinner salad included shrimp. I explained i could not eat the shrimp. The attendant was kind enough to swap it with a leftover vegetarian salad."

But by arrival time, I was starting to get hungry again. Thank God, I had enough of a layover, even with CBP processing, to grab a quick bite before continuing an additional 6-hours to home with no time to eat."

We were offered meals from economy as an option. Getting any service meant having to use the call button because the staff rarely popped in to see if we needed anything. I've never used the call button so often in one flight. Friendliness came across as a forced response to our queries and at times even that wasn't masked so well. Drinks were served in plastic cups instead of real glass (like Air NZ) and filled nearly to the top...practically a tumbler of wine. Not very classy. We were forced to use the economy toilets instead of the business ones (like Air NZ). Overall we felt that Premium Economy on Cathay was economy with a wider seat with the exception that the services was worse than our economy trips with Cathay. This was a huge disappointment especially when compared with the first leg of our trip with Air NZ which was outstanding. We are not keen to fly Cathay again but unfortunately we'll have to on the way home."

缺點: "More often than not, Philippine Airlines has been our airline of choice because we found their rates to be fair and flights direct and easy. Despite the fact that the PAL terminal was pretty poor, and the food on board was never really decent, we remained loyal to PAL for quite a few years. On our way back to Melbourne from Manila on June 17, Saturday, Colin, Hendrix and I were awaiting boarding at gate 10 for flight PR 209. Having flown with PAL from Melbourne to Manila (as well as with another airline from Manila to Manchester and back), we understood that the usual procedure was to allow passengers with infants to board first. Due to the lack of order (there were no clear queues in sight), Colin decided to ask 3 different PAL personnel if there was, indeed, a priority queue for people travelling with infants. ALL THREE PERSONNEL ASSURED US THAT THEY WERE NOT YET BOARDING AND THAT WE WOULD BE CALLED UPON PRIOR TO THEM LETTING ANYONE ELSE ON THE PLANE. 2 minutes later, a PAL personnel appears with signage that reads certain row numbers and begins to call out to ALL PASSENGERS FOR BOARDING. Colin swiftly rushes to the front (me and baby in tow) and demands an explanation as to why we were told one thing but are watching them act upon something completely different. I wish I was joking when I tell you that the personnel just stared blankly at us and then carried on checking boarding passes. No apologies, no explanation offered. As soon as we boarded, Colin turned to the first flight steward he saw and asked for a complaint form and told this could ONLY be done online, to which Colin requested we be given the email/web address upon take off. The seats assigned to us were on the right most side of the aircraft, a window and a middle seat. As Colin was placing our bags in the overhead compartment, the steward called to Colin from across the aisle (past the 3 seats in the middle of the plane) to introduce the purser, Jolly Bello. Please note this was happening while people were also trying to get past and get to their seats -and Mr. bello called out across the aisle, "I heard you have a complaint??" to which Colin, baffled, replied "yes do you want to come over here so we aren’t shouting over these people?". Colin yet again told this purser what the complaint was about and was asked (verbatim) "so would you like to make a complaint against THEM?" Would the correct protocol not be to 1. Apologise for any confusion, miscommunication or poor service, 2. Take some responsibility and acknowledge the complaint and 3. Maybe come approach us AFTER TAKE OFF and not while everyone is trying to board the plane? We are no longer choosing Philippine Airlines."

Most horrible flying experience I've ever had in my entire life and I've been flying internationally for almost 20 years. Their customer service is terrible, not transparent and not helpful. They took longer than necessary to rebook people to other flights. Completely horrible. I have another flight booked with PAL that I can no longer cancel, but after that one, never flying them again!"

A male crew member was attentive to the passenger after he immediately recognized the passenger's request walking through the aisle. This was from MNL to NRT. Also on one of the connecting flights (could have been same as above), the flight departed late because they allowed another passenger through that wasn't suppose to be on that flight on to the plane. They need to have better boarding pass scanners and /or the employees should pay better attention to that main detail. Air was really dry in the cabin, suggestion is to add some kind of humidifier in the plane to decrease dryness to the nose."

Perhaps a nominal $100 upgrade fee when seats are empty in business class? I'm assuming the reason business was empty is it's just too expensive? Maybe a price adjustment is in order rather than letting those seats sit empty? Overall, the flight was a pleasant experience. The seat situation was just a blemish on the trip. I will continue to use Philippine Airlines though probably in the future. Thank you."

Then there were flight delays, with no explanation. No screens with any live updates. Nothing. Worst terminal on planet earth! Now the plane. It must be a plane bought from another airline who completed their 30 year lease of the aircraft, because it looked like from the 1980's or older. Falling apart, uncomfortable, toilets not working, dirty, run down. The air-crew were lazy and rude and were inconsistent. One would say they ran out of something, then the person next to me would ask another crew, and received what they requested (food, assistance, pens, etc). Horrible. The pilots rarely informed us of the flight updates. Just utterly horrible! I cannot believe I have to fly with them on my return leg back home :("

Makes no sense. This flight (PR 102 MNL-LAX) was also terrible due to the fact that it was delayed more than 1hr 45 mins. I know several passengers that missed connecting flights upon arrival to LAX. When we finally landed at 8:51 pm (orig 7 pm), we were held on the plane and finally able to deplane at 9:30 PM. During the time waiting, the power (air, lights, etc) were turned off so we were essentially sitting/standing in darkness for approximately 30 mins. Then baggage wasn't unloaded until almost 10:45 pm. All the passengers were standing around waiting for their luggage for an extremely long time."

優點: "The food is ok and thy serve you plenty of it."
缺點: "Worn out seats, dated aircraft, our 12hr return flight had no in-seat entertainment, they are playing an obnoxious theme song on an infinite loop during boarding and exiting. Unless you need to fly directly to the Philippines, I would avoid this airline for connections to other points in Asia. There are just way better airlines that will get you to Asian cities for a little more money. Pay the extra, as it will be worth it for that long of a flight."

優點: "easy check in, timely flight status updates"

缺點: "first flight was cancelled. The replacement flight was delayed. Our second flight was delayed slighty, waited on the runway for an hour. Headphone slot didn't work and although an air hostess said she would come back to sort it out - she didn't. They only played 2 films during the 15hour flight (one of which had unreadable subtitles and obviously I had no working headphones). Free 30 min wifi didn't work. Probably would pay extra next time to avoid using phillipine airlines. Sorry."

優點: "Fluid check in and on time departure. Pleasant staff"
