We did not receive any compensation, but Singapore/Silk Airlines told us they were able to get us a flight home to LAX instead, but that it wouldn't be until the next day. We spent money on a hotel and food and waited until the next morning, got to the airport early for check in only to find that Singapore/Silk had in fact, given up our seats that they had promised us. They said that we now would have to wait another day just to get a flight from Singapore to LAX. We asked to speak with a manager, and eventually were able to get two seats due to cancellations. This was intended to be a very special and romantic trip that was essentially ruined. Since no one could have anticipated that the volcano would cause cancellation, we should be refunded for our flights. We are so crushed that we did not get to go to Bali, and now we may NEVER get to go because we are out of money. At the VERY least, the leg of our flights from Singapore to Bali, and Bali to Singapore, should be refunded. We are extremely disappointed."

I spend the extra few hundred dollars because of great reviews and a superior experience last year. I will not be spoken to in a condescending way. On the second leg of my travel from Singapore to LAX the flight attendant once again said that I will not be given socks? Why, thought? I'm traveling for over 30 hours. Have things changed? Second, I asked for a second ice-cream. She handed me the ice-cream then took it out my hand and told me she would have to come back to me. The galley that was suppose to have food didn't seem to have anything. Was I missing something. Be fail on many level."

TV Screen in front of the passenger (installed behind the seat in front) was very clear. it was the same as if watching movie on an iPad. The food was great! Both my wife and I like the dinner and the breakfast served. Also, the price of EVA Air’s Premium Economy is great compared to similar Asian Airlines from Vancouver to Manila. EVA Air was the cheapest when we started shopping for flights from Vancouver-Taipei-Manila."

Taipei was shut down, offices and shops were closed, residents were sheltering at home, and other carriers had cancelled essentially all flights during the 10 hours when the storm was projected to be over the island and had posted long delays (of 8 and 10 hours and longer) on their uncancelled flights. Only EVA stubbornly clung to the fiction that our flight and others would actually depart -- and depart on time. EVA's refusal to acknowledge reality -- and timely communicate that reality to its customers -- made planning impossible, stranding passengers at hotels without bookings, preventing contingency planning and forcing many passengers to make needless trips to the airport over treacherous roads made hazardous by heavy flooding, downed trees, blowing debris, high winds and blinding rain. EVA's decisions cost us money, inconvenience, time and anxiety. For the passengers and crews on inbound planes that EVA actually landed or tried to land in Taipei that day, the consequences were worse: head and other injuries from extreme turbulence and hard landings, and then hours on tarmacs unable to deplane because the winds were above the maximum level for the safe deployment of jetways. Getting out the next day with an upgrade to business class doesn't do it for me. I am a United 1K-Star Alliance Gold flyer. I fly a fair amount and I expect, above all else, an uncompromising focus on safety and clear, candid and timely communication. Never again EVA."

I had to wait for 30 minutes until I finally was able to sneak thru the rope barrier that was placed there after the stewardess left. Then when I was confronted again, I explained my situation and this time she let me through to join my son, who was at the gate all this time."

The seats are larger, there is more space to your sides and in front of you, and the seats recline in a way that doesn't intrude too much on the person behind you. Win win win! The food actually tastes good, beverages are free (at least in Elite class) and the flight attendants do a great job. Arrival and departure times line up well with your schedule reducing the effects of jet lag (IMHO). You also don't have to pay for a hotel room in BKK that you're not using because arrival/departure times line up with standard check-in/check-out times. Bonus!"

I would suggest that the crew look at passengers who might have "excessive" carryon and ask them to gate check PRIOR to boarding - not while they're in line boarding - takes FOREVER dealing with that."
缺點： "My son spilled his drink all over him - there was an attendant chatting it up with the passenger in front of us - I asked her for some napkins - she brings back 3 facial tissues and was SUPER annoyed at me for even daring to ask her. I was stuck in my middle seat as the lady in the aisle seat was handicapped and couldn't easily move. I ended up using the blanket from the flight to wipe him down and he had to sit through most of the flight with his pants hanging to dry. Also the service on the return flight was HORRIBLE compared to the flight going to Taipei. Everyone seemed flustered - it's a 10+ hour long flight and the flight wasn't even full. There was NO mid-flight service - snacks? water? Also Coke is NOT Pepsi. I saw coke in the cart - i asked for coke - watched the attendant pour from a Pepsi jar and she just shrugs."

I had read some not so good reviews so I was skeptical and canceled my first booking. After looking at other options, I discovered PAL's direct flight from Los Angeles to Manila was the best option so I took a chance. We arrive in Manila, and there is no special escort. They take us at a regular pace to a connections desk in the terminal. They delayed helping us so we missed the only other flight leaving that night for Bali. While the person at the transfer desk was supposed to be helping us get new connecting flights, they would stop helping us, and take care of other people that showed up at the desk. It took them 1 1/2 hours to rebook our flight. They tried to put us on a flight that took over 20 hours with connections for a direct flight we had missed that would take about 4 hours of flying. We had to get on Kayak.com ourselves to find a better connecting flight that left the next morning. After 1 1/2 hours, the attendant finally put on a flight that was similar to the one we found but slightly worse. They said they could not work with certain airlines leaving from Manila, which I did not understand. Then, they proceed to tell us to go wait in the terminal overnight for the flight leaving the next day. We had to directly ask them to give us a hotel room for the night, which they did upon our request, but were not going to offer it without us asking for it. I understand delays and missed flights are part of air travel. But we were routinely lied to, ignored, and flat out pushed aside during the rebooking process. It was a completely unacceptable way to treat a customer. Never fly Philippine Airlines if you can avoid it."

Yesterday, The Premiere lounge said they did not have it despite my name, email and phone number being written on the Ipad. Between Malaysian Air and the Lounge and their lack of concern and professionalism it was not a good trip. As One World Emerald member, I steer a lot of business towards these One World Airlines. I expect better treatment."

This is ridiculous and although I am sympathetic to the recent issues surrounding the airline and have previously supported its turnaround plan, I hope the airline goes bankrupt. That seems to be the only way these people learn how to properly run and manage an airline."
