優點: "Our flight was delayed due to lightning strike on arriving flight, we were transferred to non stop EVA Airline so we can get home and not need a connecting flight in Japan. JAL did all these arrangements without us requesting it. They also were very polite and got our luggage in time to be on the flight with us. JAL is truly a top airline in the world."

Then during my trip I was trying to look at what costs and fees would be associated with changing my flight and extending the trip. The website was hard to navigate and offered very little information"

缺點: "Our flight was delayed for two hours. We have a connecting flight from Osaka to Los Angeles, which we were worried we couldn't make it. They told me the flight will wait for us because there were 20 plus people also need to get on that plane. When the time of boarding we heard they were calling us to the front and explained the flight we were suppose to be connecting already took off. They had to booked us to another airline. We were extremely disappointed! We asked if we could took another Japanese airline but they said our luggages were already transferred to that airline and the tickets were printed! Mosf importantly we have already waited in airport 5 hours and they needed us to wait for another 3 hours! Very bad experience with how they dealing with this situation!"

缺點: "Checking in with Japan Airlines was a serious hassle. I had my e-ticket but they kept asking me if I had already paid. The flight was apparently overbooked but than at the last minute, they gave me and my girlfriend seats separated from each other. I sat in the back, she sat in front. The tickets also had trouble scanning and kayak isn't a known agency."

優點: "The stewardess of the flight from LA to Osaka was awesome , I don't remember her exactly name , I think she is older then other crew members working that day on economy class . She was very professional , serving customer with the best she can. Always smiles. I feel good whenever I see her walks by, smile and very professional When the meal was serve but they only had one dish to choose instead of two ( I guess that day Chicken Masala dish was high on demand so there are only Japanese dish left) she said we are so sorry with a very sincere gesture , I chose Japanese food because I like Japanese food anyway , she politely thanks me for my choice and later bring a bag of small mix snack for me and said thank you for being flexible . Later on, when we getting off the airplane she even helped me to stroll my carry on out to the airplane because I was carry too many stuffs with me and my daughter being so tired of the long flight so I have to comforted my daughter . The stewardess saw that and helping me a hand . I wish every airlines has someone like this crew member . Thank you so much for the awesome service on Japan Airlines."

Cabin foods are generous, filled with variety and tasting the best among various international airlines that I have experienced between LAX and Taipei, Taiwan in the past ten years. The seat belt on light and bell were kept at minimal, in contrast to other airlines like EVA, China Airlines, Korean Airlines and United Airlines."

優點: "What sets JAL apart is the quality of service both on the ground and in the air. As customers, even in economy, no request was too minor to be treated as the most important of the day. Both legs were on time, the meals were excellent, and the chouce of movies was more than adequate. I will fly with JAL again."

The crew at check-in told me I could keep my purse with me, and the crew on the airline told me I had to put it overhead. Please be consistent! Flying is very stressful for me, and I want the staff to make it as stress-free as possible. As for boarding, I wasn't allowed into the gate until an hour before. What really bothered me was that they had already let some people into the gate and shut some other people out. Either let people in or don't. Don't follow the rules halfway because then they won't mean anything. I was very shocked by this and have never experienced this at any airline before. All I wanted to do was sit down and relax at the gate before boarding. If this ever happened to me again, I would not fly with the same airlines. To think that this was a JAL flight, with such a high reputation of customer service, makes me even more wary of booking a flight with JAL. I didn't appreciate being treated that way, and I will not tolerate it if it happens again."

優點: "We asked for the seafood meal option. Great food and we were served before regular meal service. The ANA staff was unfailingly polite and helpful. The economy class seats were surprisingly comfortable and the entertainment options were well-rounded. We hope to fly on ANA again!"

缺點: "The food wasn’t very good and the quantity of the snack meager. Worse, the crew refused to give a second roll to our 12 year old even which means that either they only have one for each passenger (and every passenger had theirs) or the crew are parsimonious."

缺點: "The boarding was terrible. They called for groups, asked everyone to form 2 lines, but after the lines were formed, closed one boarding lane. Some people were late to board for first-class, causing even more boarding delay and chaos. There were 5 crew at the boarding gate just standing and watching. I selected a seat closer to the rear of the cabin, which received much worse attention than any other flight with ANA. I didn't get asked for a drink until very late, and the second time around there were almost no drink selections available. My seat was also broken and would not recline. Aside from the actual airline, the passengers in the rear were very inconsiderate. There was a big family with several children running around/crying/playing with seat-back trays the entire 11+ hour flight. Again, this is not entirely the fault of the airline, but it was a discomfort."

缺點: "Nothing as far as human services. Thai used to be and I have flown Thai since i was a teenager, many many times. I used to every time get excited to fly with Thai. this time i had two Thai connections between Tokyo - Bankgkok and Bangkok-Delhi, both times my two young minor children were automatically seated away from me and each other also during checkin process. it took a lot of time and convincing the agent to get my own children seated with me on long international flights! Food service was worse than expect for name of Thai airways!"

優點: "The crews on ANA (Flight Attendants) are the hardest working, most polite and service oriented of ANY carrier I can remember. When the cabin lights are ON, the crew is hustling to keep the passengers occupied and chewing. Free Beer, Wine and mixed drinks in Coach! Every Service - Snack, Drinks, Lunch, Dinner, Coffee/Tea, Second and Third rounds of drinks includes a cold towel to wipe your face and hands and most important, trash is collected promptly EVERY single time. WOW. I noticed that Flight Attendants take notes on sleeping passengers for every major meal service, and they take the time to revisit those customers when awake to check they might have wanted to be fed. I also noticed that the crew has special double sided tape to pickup crumbs and spills in the aisles so grime is not tracked into the carpet. Dont be surprized to see a flight attendant cruising the aisle after dinner with a soft cooler full of small vanilla Hagen Daz cups..."
缺點: "We flew from Bangkok to Washington Dulles with a connection in Tokyo. Snow in Japan caused crew shifts to max out and ultimately a dramatic change in flight departure. (Guaranteeing a missed connection) This caused multiple downstream challenges. 1. Original flight was scheduled for 00:30. (Half Past Midnight), rescheduled flight was scheduled for 12:30 (Half Past Noon) For Americans unused to a 24 hour clock, this made emails From ANA very difficult to wrap your mind around. Was it a typo? What happens when you miss your connection? (Turns out weather delays do NOT result in accommodations or meals being provided) Rescheduled flight should have been for 1231 with (AM/PM in Parentheses) 2. For passengers who spent their vacation/trip near the equator, the prospect of spending the night in snowbound Tokyo was simply not addressed in the cancellation email. The better option was to stay in your original point of origin and make the connection in one day, but email has NO telephone number for passengers to call to make these arrangements. (We ended up calling a toll California telephone number to be sure we got an English speaking agent) 3. Many SE Asian departing cities have a crazy baggage weight policy that allows for Two bags of 25 Kilos each , but if you have a single bag that weights 32 Kilos, you must pay excess baggage. Although the policy may NOT be specific to ANA, there are hundreds of folks of all nationalities repacking suitcases on the floor of the airport, to try to meet the regulations. As a traveler I understand this, but as an ANA customer it makes no sense, especially when the ticket agent cannot charge the overage to a credit card at the ticket counter. Instead sending you to a different location then waiting for you to return with a receipt. Its a huge scam and ANA can do better communicating the rules to passengers via email or their web site. Nothing starts a long trip off worse than arguments over arcane rules. 4. Changing a return flight arrangement as a result of weather happens at the last moment, but seat assignments apparently could not keep up. I would rather NOT fly than face a center seat in coach for 14 hours. I cannot explain what happened, but repeated attempts at advance check in showed NO assigned seats available, the ticket and gate agents could not improve on this, but BOTH flights ended up having empty seats and in the end we stressed for nothing. ANA must be able to do better, improving their IT systems to make advance seat assignments possible no matter how challenging the problem of "equipment" and other changes in the face of a canceled flight."

優點: "This was my first time flying with ANA airlines and it was great. First the staff where we checked in we're amazingly helpful! They spoke great English and ensured me and my husband sat together during our 15 hr flight to Vietnam.! They had so many options on new movies and music that helped pass the time. The food was very tasty as well as there snacks and drinks! The entire staff were helpful and appeared to enjoy their jobs. I will always fly with ANA when returning to ASIA."

I've been using ANA for my frequent trips between Japan and the states, they are consistent. The in flight food is good. You will get complimentary wine, Haagen Dazs ice cream dessert. Cathay Pacific also serve HD ice cream, but half the size on lunch meal. ANA serve on both meals."
缺點: "i could give ANA a 5*, but I think their web site needs work ! their web navigation is kinda confused, a little bit less intuitive. If you are in the US you need to log on to the ANA US site, the JP site is in Japanese and it will not redirect you to US. On line check in can get confused as a lot of time it would not recognize the booking number, you have to use a long 10 digit e-ticket number. My fight from Tokyo to HKG would let me check in and get seat assignment until 24 hours before the scheduled flight. The seat map shows all seat ps were taken without telling what is going on."

優點: "The crew was friendly n the food tastes surprisingly good, though the portion was small. The entertainment was good. and temperature inside the cabin was just right. Boating time was quick."
缺點: "Actually I was disturbed that CX offers a tabloid newspaper like Apple daily, especially at this sensitive stage when hk is going through such turmoil instigated and supported by Jimmy Lai’s group. It is offensive that such a biased newspaper is on offer, when there are other Chinese newspaper with a more neutral stand. Cathy has been viewed as a sympathiser of “yellow” rioters because of its involvement by management n crew. Now it just brings it more to the memory how CX might be what the leaked reports that many equipment has been compromised by CX crew onboard. Many of CX customers are from middle class, and it could be a big turn-off. It is unwise to patronise a tabloid newspaper when the owner has been named by China as the culprit of the recent troubles in hk. It’s like offering Al Jazeera news on united airlines entertainment........During the whole trip, I was captivated by these thoughts."

缺點: "The economy toilets were in a disgusting state half-way through the flight and a hostess told me not use Business Class toilets even though I was in Premoum Economy. The economy toilet was clearly a health hazard. Also, we were woken up for our 2nd meal 6 hours into the flight , with 8 hours to go"

優點: "We boarded on time. Again, cabin crew was nice, courteous, and professional. Flight was not full- therefore, no passenger present next to me. Did not eat either meal- therefore, can not vouch for them; however, did have a cup of noodles. Again, the variety of music was nice."

缺點: "Middle row every time and difficult to get out. Always out of the Asian meal choice if you weren't Asian. No one followed the directions the crew gave for boarding and crew seemed unable to fix that."

優點: "CX starts throwing out some old movies, it's nice to see some vintage from my kid age."

缺點: "I accidentally sat in the wrong seat and had settled in comfortably, when a crew member pointed it out, I quickly got up and made my way to my seat. However someone was sitting there. The crew member told me that since the person had settled in I'd have to sit in another seat and pointed to yet another seat. Needless to say I was very confused and more than a little ticked with the inconsistent behaviour. Things didn't get any better when they defended their approach instead of simply acknowledging the problem."

優點: "The friendliness of the crew, noticed I woke up and served me breakfast with only 45 mins till landing.. The flight was delayed and the airline had arranged for an escort to quickly get me to my next flight without even asking"

缺點: "Crew was fantastic. Very attentive to passengers’ needs. From check in to baggage claim, China Airlines was fantastic. When many passengers needed to board aconnecting flight in Taipei to Bangkok with very little time, crew members shepherded all of us through the tram and security right to boarding. It was fantastic. China Airlines is my “go to” company for any routes on my travels they provide in the future. Thank you China Airlines!!!"

優點: "They just seem fake friendly. Be nice if they also were more lenient on carry on luggage. Very unreasonable making the start of vacation stressful moving stuff from our carry on to other luggage over 1 kg. It was obnoxious. They had another scale at the gate which was over the top obnoxious. I felt like we were a burden to the airline rather than a guest."

I was cutting it close with a flight, and their staff walked me through security, baggage, and straight up to the gate (TPE to Okinawa). Highly recommended."

缺點: "The smaller jet does not have adjustable over head air controllers. If you sit toward the front by the emergency exit there is no air-conditioning and I was sweating for the entire trip. As you move toward the middle of the plane it seems to be much cooler. Also the video screen is very dark and small. I set the screen to the brightest setting and couldn't see half the movie. Furthermore, for some reason the crew left the bright lights on in the cabin for the entire 6-7hr trip, which made it difficult to sleep or watch the movies. My longer trip to NY with the larger and newer plane was MUCH better!"

優點: "New Airbus 350-900 with excellent nose wheel and tail forward view where we watched our takeoff and landing. Enough choices on entertainment system to satisfy one on a 15hr flight. Lots of self serve snacks and drinks mid-flight."

優點: "Great experience! I'd travel HK Air again for sure but travel with kids on arrival. One issue on arrival at HKG was the shuttle bus, as there is no bridge to aircraft. The shuttle bus to terminal travels really fast around corners so definitely some strong swaying. This is out of HK Airlines control however."

缺點: "Actually two flights: Vancouver to HK was sardine class - really, really tight. Entertainment system was an iPad - ok, I guess, and at least it worked until you had to return it as landing commenced. Food was not good, though it had a few bits that were good. Service was quite good. Landing: bounced really high, though weather was good and the craft had flown really smoothly up to then."

缺點: "Why is there check in on line if it doesn’t work? I chose seat 38 and I was given 61 and I always feel sick when I flew at the back. Horrible!!! I even showed my confirmation on my phone and I was said the 38 wasn’t available anymore."

優點: "Great value, comfortable new aircraft, and good entertaining system."
缺點: "The in-flight boardcasting voice was dull, not clear, and not proper toning in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. Wifi was not working for my phone."

優點: "The flight attendants were all in their mid-twenties to early thirties, immaculately coiffed, had beautifully applied makeup and tailored uniforms and were very attentive. Like it used to be in the good old days of travel in the U.S."
