缺點: "First experience with Singapore where the crew made a negative impression. As soon as the plane pulled away from the terminal, crew members seemed rushed and frantic, literally running back and forth from Economy Premium to the galley gathering items. Approximately every 7-10 minutes, crew members would be running back and forth next to my seat with heavy foot steps, which would wake me up. I also noticed that certain crew members were shouting at passengers to get their attention instead of lowering themselves to be heard. One flight attendant almost spilled orange juice on me because she turned around too fast trying to serve drinks. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed, or if it was the influence of a certain crew boss, but something was definitely wrong."

US airline flight attendants don’t even come close to this team that truly serviced the cabin for 8 hours continuously without the typical hiding in the back of the plane and chatting. Very encouraging that genuine care in the air is very much alive and well on Singapore Air! I will fly them every chance I get!"

優點: "What did I like??? Um, EVERYTHING! First off I got a great price under $850 round trip to NRT from LAX was a steal! They let you check two large suit cases plus a carry on and a personal item. That all FREE!!! I travel pretty light but it was great to know they don't Nickle and dime you for bags or anything else for that matter. Staff looks amazing and treats you first class even when your in economy. They are so polite and really genuinely want to give you a above and beyond experience. And they over achieve at it! They meals are great and very satisfying. The planes are big and roomy even in economy seats. On our return flight we had a brand new plane which had a sleek touch screen monitor and controller. There mad tons of media available (articles, language games, games, movies, tv shows and more) with USB ports to charge devices on each seat. Plus 10inch personal monitors. Earbuds were included free of charge, aswell as socks toothbrush and tooth paste. They have is two big meals on our direct flight (awesome that they have direct flights). Plus, they offered free snacks too and gave us a full can of soda vs. a small cup. They come through several times offering coffee, tea, water and snacks. All free of charge. This was my first time flying Singapore Airlines and I loved it!!! I wish Everyone was this amazing! Norwegian Airlines was the opposite as far as charging for everything! Had to pay each stop for any luggage ($100 per checked bag). No meals free or charge. They wanted money for everything! And yea a skimpy sandwich was $9.00 :(."

It took a login to the Cathay Pacific web site to figure out that with the rescheduled time, I would miss my connecting flight from HongKong to Boston if I didn't change anything. I managed to sort it out, though it took using my cell phone to place an international call to the HongKong Cathay Pacific office to get me on an earlier flight. I don't think this is an acceptable level of service -- had I not had WiFi access or an international capable cell phone, I would have been stranded in Taipei or HongKong an extra day. I think CP could have done more to notify and help remediate the situation knowing the implication of the rescheduled flight. Food also remains mediocre, though slightly better."

優點: "The Denpasar Airport had been closed for days due to Ash/Volcano Agung, so luckily our Flight departed as planned, and on time. Was easily re-assigned a new seat (middle to aisle) at the gate. The staff was attentive and courteous."

We were in Thailand when Bali's Mount Agung erupted and called Cathay Pacific requesting our fees be waived to change our return flight from Denpasar, Hong Kong, Newark to Bangkok-Hong Kong-Newark. Cathay Pacific said the fee to change our flight is $350, and plus the difference in the new ticket price. That option was very expensive. We were very stressed about returning to Bali due to the High Alert warnings. The Denpasar Airport was closed for days -- and our request was not unreasonable."

And gosh was it horrible turbulence. 13 and 1/2 hours and at least 7 incidences of really hard turbulence. I got no sleep at all, cause I was much to afraid to even close my eyes. I wish the capitains could have said something to calm us down. It was frightening."

缺點: "The crew was a bit negligent. They passed me when serving the food just because the aisle seat passenger next to me was served his special meal earlier, so they did not notice that the passenger at the window seat (which was me) had no tray in front of him when running the regular meal service. Isn't this sloppy !? Problem is that once they passed you, it's hard to get their attention, as they are always in a hurry, and not looking over the cabin just to check if someone needs something or wants to call on them for any reason, and there are no attendant calling buttons available. So you have to wait until they come by your seat again. Finally I got my meal with apologies 15 minutes later, but the experience was already ruined and the negative impression built.. Also, when departing from Taipei, the boarding process was a bit disorganized, compared with the one we had in Vancouver. As for as the entertainment, the LCD monitor at my seat was pretty worn out, with very poor contrast, making it difficult to watch a movie or read information. Same airline with two opposing experiences: Vancouver-to-Taipei very good, Taipei-to-Manila: poor."

缺點: "Originally, I had 2 flights scheduled from Myanmar to SF. One connecting flight from Yangon to Taipei, then from Taipei to San Francisco with a 7 hour lay over in between. Not too bad. 3 weeks before my vacation to Myanmar, China airlines moved my return connecting flight from Yangon to Taipei a day early, which meant I would need to cancel hotel reservations in Yangon and would be stranded in Taipei overnight. I called China Airlines and the only option was to move my 2nd flight a day early. No apologies or reason why my connecting flight was changed a day earlier."

優點: "I've never experienced anything than superb customer service from China Airlines. When feasible, I always opt to go with them, even if Kayak suggests a cheaper flight. I was cutting it close with a flight, and their staff walked me through security, baggage, and straight up to the gate (TPE to Okinawa). Highly recommended."

優點: "First of all, china airlines cancelled my original flight and put me in one 6 hours earlier, I had to change around and pay for changes to my other flights to make it work. Then 3 days before I depart they cancel another flight and don't even offer me one on the same day, they didn't have any. They put me on a flight 17 hours earlier that threw my schedule so much I had to hasltle with them, book anoth r airline and lose another few hundred dollars. To say china airlines is awful and unreliable is an understatement. it is the second time this has happened to me, the appearance of cheaper fairs is never worth the trouble u will have with china airlines or any of its affiliates such and china eastern. 缺點: "More often than not, Philippine Airlines has been our airline of choice because we found their rates to be fair and flights direct and easy. Despite the fact that the PAL terminal was pretty poor, and the food on board was never really decent, we remained loyal to PAL for quite a few years. On our way back to Melbourne from Manila on June 17, Saturday, Colin, Hendrix and I were awaiting boarding at gate 10 for flight PR 209. Having flown with PAL from Melbourne to Manila (as well as with another airline from Manila to Manchester and back), we understood that the usual procedure was to allow passengers with infants to board first. Due to the lack of order (there were no clear queues in sight), Colin decided to ask 3 different PAL personnel if there was, indeed, a priority queue for people travelling with infants. ALL THREE PERSONNEL ASSURED US THAT THEY WERE NOT YET BOARDING AND THAT WE WOULD BE CALLED UPON PRIOR TO THEM LETTING ANYONE ELSE ON THE PLANE. 2 minutes later, a PAL personnel appears with signage that reads certain row numbers and begins to call out to ALL PASSENGERS FOR BOARDING. Colin swiftly rushes to the front (me and baby in tow) and demands an explanation as to why we were told one thing but are watching them act upon something completely different. I wish I was joking when I tell you that the personnel just stared blankly at us and then carried on checking boarding passes. No apologies, no explanation offered. As soon as we boarded, Colin turned to the first flight steward he saw and asked for a complaint form and told this could ONLY be done online, to which Colin requested we be given the email/web address upon take off. The seats assigned to us were on the right most side of the aircraft, a window and a middle seat. As Colin was placing our bags in the overhead compartment, the steward called to Colin from across the aisle (past the 3 seats in the middle of the plane) to introduce the purser, Jolly Bello. Please note this was happening while people were also trying to get past and get to their seats -and Mr. bello called out across the aisle, "I heard you have a complaint??" to which Colin, baffled, replied "yes do you want to come over here so we aren’t shouting over these people?". Colin yet again told this purser what the complaint was about and was asked (verbatim) "so would you like to make a complaint against THEM?" Would the correct protocol not be to 1. Apologise for any confusion, miscommunication or poor service, 2. Take some responsibility and acknowledge the complaint and 3. Maybe come approach us AFTER TAKE OFF and not while everyone is trying to board the plane? We are no longer choosing Philippine Airlines."

And these mega airports in Asia getting from 1 terminal to another when you don’t speak the language can add an hour! If the flight wasn’t an hour late I would have missed it because of the messages. I have saved those and will be contacting Kayak for some type of reasonable compensation for this terrible error on their part. No message at all would be much better than a message sending me to the wrong place!"

And I was never informed upon purchasing my ticket that I needed to order vegetarian food 24 hours in advance, so this was twenty hours of traveling with no food . Luckily the nice flight attendants gave me extra bread, but that is not enough to sustain a human. Also having to go through customs twice in China during my layovers was terrible. The lines were long and the layover was too short, I almost missed my flight on both layovers."

The planes are old, so you don't have individual TVs, just one for every few rows overhead that shows random Chinese programs, and a lot of the seats are semi-broken (they don't recline, they recline too much, etc.). And they will not allow you to use your mobile phones at all during flight, even in airplane mode (Kindles, tablets, and laptops are apparently okay for some reason)."

This may have been a rare circumstance since I had two connections on this journey, but it seems like this process could be made A LOT easier. I was told in Los Angeles when I checked in for the first leg of my trip that my bags would need to be collected in Kunming and re-checked for the final leg of my trip (Kunming to Bangkok). I thought no big deal. Well after collecting my luggage from the carousel in Kunming, I proceeded to go where appeared to be a re-check point. I was told there that I needed to go all the way out of the secured area and check in for the next flight there. After confusingly navagating my way through this airport, I finally arrived at the check-in desk. This the same check-in counter that everyone uses when coming off of the street. I can understand doing this if I was switching airlines or something, but I don't know why I wasn't allowed to use the re-check counter. After the time it took to find the check-in area and wait in line, I had my boarding pass for the flight with about 1 hour left until departure. I then proceeded to the departure checkpoint where I waited in line for approximately 25 minutes before reaching an officer. To my horror, he asked for my departure card, which I was unaware that I needed and he pointed to the back of the room. I tried to explain to him that I was only connecting through and hadn't actually stayed in China, but he still sent me to the back of the room to fill out this card. This meant that I had to wait in line again, but luckily it was only a 20 minute wait this time. After luckily getting through the security, I now had about 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time, so I was pretty stressed since it said on my ticket that the door would be closed 15 minutes before departure. Luckily I made the gate before the door was closed. While waiting in line, I spoke with some people that had also been on my Shanghai to Kunming flight and they had also been very confused about the whole transfer process and were also very close to their departure time at this time when I spoke with them. I think their flight to Dubai was delayed, so they made their flight. Maybe most of my issues arose from the double-connection in China, so I will not under any circumstances be selecting a trip where this is on the itinerary. I've connected through Guangzhou and Beijing before and I've never had a need for an arrival / departure card at either of those places. There should be better communication in this area to help people avoid this kind of confusing situation like I experienced. For example, if it was a double-connection thing, send an email explaining the procedures for trips that connect in this manner. I assumed that arrival and departure cards were only for people that were actually staying in the country for more than just connecting flights. Wrong assumption obviously."
