It took a login to the Cathay Pacific web site to figure out that with the rescheduled time, I would miss my connecting flight from HongKong to Boston if I didn't change anything. I managed to sort it out, though it took using my cell phone to place an international call to the HongKong Cathay Pacific office to get me on an earlier flight. I don't think this is an acceptable level of service -- had I not had WiFi access or an international capable cell phone, I would have been stranded in Taipei or HongKong an extra day. I think CP could have done more to notify and help remediate the situation knowing the implication of the rescheduled flight. Food also remains mediocre, though slightly better."

Plus, threatening to deny boarding to paying customers for airline related overbooking does not seem like a fair or good business practice. Then there were mechanical issue with the plane. After waiting over an hour for repairs they realized they needed a new air craft. This further delayed the flight. Not only was the flight extremely delayed at this pint but throughout the waiting time we were given very little information and were constantly told they couldn't give us an approximate time of departure. This was extremely rude and makes the experience of dealing with a delay even worse. I would suggest giving us more information about what is happening. Saying we don't know when the flight will leave is just unacceptable. To make matters even worse after we were finally boarded we had to wait an additional 40 minutes sitting inside the plane while they boarded refreshments! I know there are delays in flights but this same thing happened to my flight on my way to Paris and it caused me to miss my international connection and had to be re-routed."

To begin with, I selected several flights that were listed, only to have it tell me that this flight is no longer offered, which I assume is engineered to get me to select a more expensive flight. On 2 of the 4 legs of the round trip, there were no more seats available except for upgrade seats, which resulted in an extra $100.00+ in charges. Then when I finished the transaction, I noticed an extra $200.00 charge added. End result was that I ended up paying over double what I would normally pay for this same round trip that I have made many many times. I feel, no I know, that some customer relations person will look at this comment and reply with a pre-generated response apologizing and hoping I have a better experience in the future and thank me for using Kayac. Big companies like yours look at one customer as no big deal. I'm a Physician and have the ability to reach out to multitudes. I'm going to make it my mission in life to reach out to as many people as I can through word of mouth, signs in my office, Internet and social media to let them know about the deplorable practices of your company."

I was sitting in an exit row aisle behind a restroom in economy. The staff kept bumping into me and my entertainment system as they tried to rush up and down the aisles. Really taking a breath and walking more slowly could have resolved this. At one point, the staff almost caught my arm between my seat and their rolly cart. The plane was old and in disrepair. My neighbor's entertainment system screen needed to be propped up with duct tape. The seats are stiff and uncomfortable, and the headrests are designed so that if you have a U head support, it will collide with the headrest and curve your back into a C. Some staff could use a refresher on basic Japanese. One flight attendant kept asking everyone "US Citizen or 日本語？" which means Japanese Language. Those are not mutually exclusive questions for many bilingual flyers. I usually tolerate airplane food, but this was the first meal I could not eat on a plane. It was eggs and hash browns, and it was so mushy and salty, I decided to pass. The bathrooms dirty quickly, and are a disappointment compared to the amenities provided on your basic Asian carrier. No toothbrush. No hand lotion. Just soap. We left Narita after 5 pm, and were served this weird dinner breakfast meal. Six hours later (of a 12 hour flight) it was about 11 pm in Tokyo, and 7 am in the destination city of Houston. Might as well get back to American schedules? I don't know, but when I was naturally getting tired and putting on my sleepmask and earplugs to get some rest, a rude flight attendant kept asking me if I wanted breakfast or orange juice, shoving items in front of me (with one hand, a no-no in Japanese culture), and repeatedly asking me despite me shaking my head no. I really don't know where they hired these people. My bag got held up by customs in Houston, and United transfered it to a third party courier service who tried to call me at 1 am to deliver it. That was a bit later than I expected, and I missed the call. The next day, I tried to call the driver, who hung up on me! I called their customer support, who was unable to contact the driver or the delivery service. Just who did they hand my bags to? Thankfully, after an 18 hour wait, I got my bags back, but it was a stressful wait. Throw a dart at a list of Asian airlines, they're all better than United."

Once I was seated a man in front of me had his hiking pack and two ukuleles in their cases, neither of which could fit under his seat. That's when I became frustrated. O This plane sucks: our knees were slammed into the seat in front of us because the chairs are so close together. No USB plugs. Plane was dirty, scuff marks on the wall and ceiling. There was paper in the pouch that looked like a mouse had chewed on it."

We were told we were re-booked on a flight, so we ran across the airport, with two small children, to make that flight only to be told that weren't actually re-booked and needed to go standby. The customer service rep. did offer that if we wanted to take our kids across the airport, now at 11:30 at night, we could look for a United Supervisor in Terminal E, and if we were lucky enough to find one, they might override the policy and cover the hotel. Really! I understand that United doesn't have control over customs, but United did book an international flight with just over an hour layover, knowing that any slowdown in customs means missed flights. That's fine. The problem I have is when it happened, United's Customer Service model was to provide misinformation, incredible slow service, and what seemed like a complete lack of interest by United employees to do anything to make the situation better. There were no supervisors at the service counter, only 1 representative for an hour or so, and when the other representatives showed up, they were discussing going on break and going home. All with a very long line of people stuck in the airport waiting to get some help. I could accept this as an isolated instance, but since booking this trip, I have been getting the same level of service over the phone while trying to submit a refund request for my son who did not join us on the trip. United's 24 hour refund policy has taken 6 weeks and many hours online and on the phone and I still have no idea what the status of that request is, and apparently neither does anybody at United. The interaction I have had with your employees have been friendly and courteous, but extremely time consuming, with a lot of incorrect information and no resolution. Very mediocre at best."

Multiple people around me were also asking around if the chairs recline. I have a mild back injury and sitting up at 90 degrees the entire way was very uncomfortable."

缺點： "The Captain kept lying to the passengers why we were delaid ! Finally after 40 minutes sitting on the ramp he came on and apolized for telling us the wrong information but actually what happened was someone loaded all the luggage in the aft baggage compdartment incorrectly and they had to reload the the bags and move then to the forward compartment This certainty didn't give you a safe feeling knowing there ground crew didn't know ho to load there plane correctly! Another reason not to fly United Airlines! Everett Johnson, Bellevue Wash."
優點： "The crew was very courteous."
缺點： "The flight was delayed for about an hour - The planes were backed up on the tarmac. It is aggravating to think that you have enough time to make a connection and then to be waiting around for such a long time to take off. Paying for movies."
優點： "On the whole plane,my row was the only one with a vacant seat. I needed wheelchair assistance getting from check -in counter to the plane and the person who helped me could not have been nicer or more helpful."
缺點： "The savory pretzel snack was very skimpy and I could not drink their water because they only had Dasani which contains an ingredient that I am allergic to."

缺點： "My friend traveling with me was not allowed on the plane at first because united said he didn't have a ticket. I had to get off the plane and go show them our confirmation info and where we had already checked in for the flight. Still took anther 15 minutes and they where very rude until they realized their mistake...."
優點： "Safe landing in windy conditions."
缺點： "Air-con failure delayed departure. No complimentary food or OH. Poor legroom. Nothing"

缺點： "United claimed the flight was delayed due to weather but two other flights to Houston were able to leave on time and no other United flights appeared to have been delayed. No apologies, no compensation, did not even give free access to wifi during flight."
缺點： "Ended up sitting on the tarmac for 30-40 minutes. Many people almost missed or did miss flights."
優點： "I like everything!!everyone was so nice that it makes you feel so welcome and that you're like in home!!!"
優點： "Isle seat as empty but when i asked to move they told me i would have to pay over $100 and we were ready to take off so no one ever used the seat and i was smushed by the window the whole time."

缺點： "Narrow seats. Literally no leg room for me. It was a terrible time for me, especially since I was in the middle seat."
優點： "Typical flight. Crew was fine, nothing great or memorable. Free movies on devices are nice - although it would be nice for gate agents to mention it prior to boarding so guests without cell service could download the app on the airports wireless prior to boarding if they didn't already have it."
優點： "On the trip from Des Moines to Houston, timeliness of flight was great. The boarding went smooth and was done quickly. The crew were friendly and courteous. Overall the first half of the trip was fine."
缺點： "I was extremely disappointed in the condition of my luggage when I picked it up plane side. The wheel was broke off and all the pockets had been unzipped and it appeared they had been rummaged through. I had to drag my bag through the terminal. I spoke with 3 individuals with United who referred me onto the next and each unwilling as the previous to help. I myself am in customer service and would never treat my customers the way I was treated by the employees representing your Airline. I would go above and beyond to make the sure that the customers experience was a great one in spite of the unfotunate incident so they would return. I have never flown United before, and I will not consider your airline in the future."

缺點： "Boarding was terrible. Couldn't hear the PA's for boarding. Didn't get the boarding group thing since there was absolutely no division of where groups should be and no room for the group lines until it backs into the wall. Upon boarding I noticed we were in the center seating which was not what I had booked directly with United. When I had originally called, I explained there were four of us and the explained we could have 2 and 2 by a window but in separate groups or 2 and 2 behind the others in the middle rows. I wanted the window seats. Upon getting the res notification I noticed it was in the center so I called to have it switched to the window rows as previously requested and he said no problem and he would change them. I guess I should have followed up again since once on the plane we were in the center seats. I explained to one of the flight attendants since this was kind of a big deal. She was going to check with the gate agent and get back to me. I never heard from her again even though she knew where we were sitting. I guess she was busy and forgot! The four of us were tired and fell asleep which caused us to miss the meal which was served very early in the flight. No problem until later in the flight I asked the female flight attendant in the back if I could get a meal or some snacks for my daughter since she was now hungry. She told me she would check on it when the seat belt sign was turned off. At this time it had been smooth for quite some time and many passengers and other flight attendants were up and walking around. So if this fa was so concerned shouldn't she be telling everyone else to sit down instead of sitting in the back READING A BOOK? I still didn't have a problem as we patiently waited until she just didn't acknowledge us. Finally, I made the same request to a male fa while the same female was right behind him. He was great and came back soon with a meal I believe he may have retrieved from 1st class. He said the original ones in the back had been sitting to long. Great job to him. Sorry I do not have names. The Lufthansa crew on the way over to Frankfurt worked nearly nonstop, this crew hardly worked. Not impressed at all. By the way, I never write reviews."
缺點： "The worst experience ever paid $466 each for our flight. Our seats were changed for whatever reason to the last row, we sat in back of plane it was very uncomfortable and we could not relax. Out of airlines control was a sick screaming toddler for 2 hrs of this flight in front of us."
優點： "Flight times were accurate."
缺點： "As soon as we arrived to the airport, checking in was the biggest hassle. We were harassed by a guy working the ticket counter named Guilermo. He was EXTREMELY rude and continued to harass us and followed us after we checked in and we're already at the security check point. It's $25 to check a bag but if you check 2 bags their website says its $35 for both. We were charged $50 to check two bags. Even after Guilermo told both of us that they wouldn't charge us for the second bag to be checked. The guy that checked our bags was also extremely rude and clearly didn't care. Once we started boarding the flight several passengers had to check their bags at the gate because there "wasn't enough room on the plane". Not really sure how this was fair since we had just paid $50 to check two bags and were lied to about it when several people just checked their bags for free. We chose to fly with United because of the good deals they have on flights but after our experience I would MUCH rather pay more money and have a lot better customer service. We had such a horrible experience it almost ruined our first day of our week long trip. I'm. It really sure if it's obvious to the employees of United but traveling for most people is a very special occasion. This occasion happen to be a very special one to us as it was a family vacation and seeing family we haven't seen in years. The poor attitudes and rude demeanor from the United staff is all we could think about even after we reached our destination."
