Crew is a little too efficient- got woken up 90 minutes before landing to clear the mattresses. Lots of announcements- a bit too much. On time, and quick to respond to requests. Sake was good as was the ramen."

For a 12 hour flight with seats that don't recline and nothing the on-board staff could do about the ticket counter's negligence and bad faith other than apologize. Seated upright for an overnight flight (for the second time on the same trip) for 12 hours. Not a pleasant experience. Had a feeling ANA would be bush league. This trip confirmed those suspicions. It wasn't the crew's fault (though they, unfortunately bore the brunt of my displeasure) so much as the counter's fault, but airlines charging what they are shouldn't be putting passengers or crew in this position. The ticket counter folks literally mislead us. They specifically told us that these were not emergency row seats and that we would have reclining seats and seatback displays in front of us like everyone else. The entire reason I asked is because we got stuck in the last row on the way in with seats that don't recline, which blows for a 12 hour red-eye flight. Instead we got seats that did not recline and a fold out screen that came from the right-hand arm rest. Not the end of the world if one had no choice, but certainly not what I paid for and certainly not what the ticketing counter people stated we were getting (under specific inquiry about the very point). The ticketing counter in particular seems to be skeevy, at best. To the detriment of their own crew, who is left apologizing for things they can do nothing about. As stated, this is a bush league international carrier. Avoid unless you love sleepless nights crossing the international dateline..."

優點： "The plane from LAX to Shanghai-Pudong was very nice and modern. It was a Boeing 777-300ER and was pretty comfortable in economy class with individual monitors behind each headrest. The entertainment on board was very good. The food was mediocre at best, but for the price point I have absolutely no regrets. The stewardess that was in our section was very cold but not unfriendly. We had a brief layover in Shanghai before heading to Seoul Incheon. The plane from Shanghai to Seoul was an older Airbus 330. It was pretty outdated and my armrest next to the window seat was actually half missing. Overall though, I was pleasantly surprised that they served a meal on the fight, and the flight attendants on this fight were much more friendlier than the previous international route. One recommendation is that China Eastern not post the production date on their bread rolls. There was a Korean passenger in front of me who thought the bread was expired and it caused a commotion on the plane. I was very impressed by how the attendants handled the situation. They were very friendly and even the head flight attendant came by to apologize although it was not needed."

缺點： "My "flight 6790" wasn't a flight but actually a bus. It was over 100 miles to Shanghai and we didn't know this until we got to the airport. We almost weren't able to get our luggage because we didn't have a plane ticket for our next flight yet. The attendant at the bus stop said there was no bus that goes there. So we asked for the train, she said there was no train that goes there either. "So HOW do I get to Shanghai to catch this next flight then?" I asked. And she said she didn't know. Nobody would help us and everyone was being rude. We ended up having to spend $100 for 2 of us to take a cab to the next airport an hour away to catch our next flight. We weren't the only ones in the same situation, there were 7 of us total trying to find transportation to the next airport. Between the 2 cabs it cost us $400 just to get to Shanghai to catch our next flight. Shanghai airport personnel were perplexed at why they would send us to Hangzhou China and then tell us our next flight is an hour away in Shanghai. The air crew members were very friendly and accommodating but the airport staff were horrible, and whoever scheduled those flights like that.......I mean come on, seriously? It said FLIGHT 6790, not bus. If we knew that we would have booked a different flight, and we were misled into not doing so."

優點： "If you can help it, do NOT travel on China Eastern. This is an airline that does NOT care about the passenger and does things the way they are done in communist dictatorships. My flight was from REP to PVG and then to ORD. The first leg (MU514) was delayed by 16 hrs - we were not told straight away about the length of the delay, every 2 hrs they would come up with a take off time and then delay it again. We spent the night at the airport - no food, no hotel. There were measely vouchers for a burger and a drink in the morning. We missed our onward flight and were delayed another 20 hrs in Shanghai. After queueing for hours we were given a hotel. A nightmare."
