For a flight to Japan, I thought $1,000 round trip direct from Boston was an excellent price considering you got 2 complete meals and additional snacks. Much more than I expected. Would fly Japan Airlines again."

I tried a month later but the problem was not solved. They foward any problems and inquiries to reservation center but calling the number won't find anyone to talk. Always they put me on hold for hours and never reached anyone. I have food allergy and tried to request for special meals but the option was not there under my eticket number as described in their website. They say the option may not be available because I purchased my ticket from 3rd party, not from JAL or it was code share flight. Very inconvenient. I had to skip 2 meals out of 3in leaving for Japan. I got very hungry at the end of the flight...."

缺點: "Flight from Taipei to Tokyo was delayed and ultimately cancelled because of "mechanical failure". Many passengers on the flight including us had international connections through Tokyo, with only an hour between flights. It was clear we were all going to miss this connection, but in a frantic and haphazard way, the JAL crew's only solution at the gate was just to get us all on the next flight out to Tokyo (I believe via China Air) no matter what our individual final destinations were. They said "from Narita, they will handle all your connections to your final destination." This was a bizarre solution. Why not reroute us individually on other partner airlines, through other countries/cities, from this international airport in Taipei, like airlines usually do? (Also, all of this disorganized communication by the JAL crew at the gate was never translated into English, I just happen to speak a little mandarin and was able to understand what they were directing us to do). My wife was the one who searched for an alternative route on her phone (through HK instead of Tokyo) via their partner airline Cathay pacific and showed it to the JAL rep at the transfer counter, and through a series of radio and phone calls, only then did they say "there might be seats left", but they couldn't book the seats for us there. In order to make the flight, we had to sprint ourselves to a completely different terminal and concourse to another transfer counter to finally book our seats on this Cathay flight. Needless to say, our luggage did not get pulled from JAL in time to make it on the Cathay flights, so we are waiting 2-3 days for them to hopefully be found and sent to us. Overall, I was completely disappointed by the JAL staff, who didn't take responsibility or ownership of the situation, and who's solution to just fly everyone out to Tokyo, no matter our final destination, and to leave us to figure out our connections there was extremely short-sighted and irresponsible, and was a total disservice to their customers. I expect much more from this airline. On another note, we flew JAL from Boston to Tokyo, and Tokyo to Taipei: the food was terrible and food options were really subpar for an international flight, I would've expected much better from JAL and the dreamliner flight."

This was not done on the flight into Dubai. Also irritating was when I got to Boston, an Emirates guy cut open the packing envelope open and in the process, accidentally sliced the camera neck strap. He was, however, very apologetic and eagerly got me the info needed to submit a claim to Emirates."

But, they did not give the seat together. Also, our connection time was 2 hours for the next flight. To receive the baggage in the port of entry, it took more than 1 hour 15 mins in the carousel. After that we had to clear customs, change terminal and clear security in 45 mins to catch the next flight. It was really tough for us. They could have handled the baggage little efficiently."

缺點: "For a 14 hour flight there are no water bottles provided. You need more than the couple of cups of water provided on the flight, and it is not practical to keep on asking for more water from the crew. Quality of food (Asian veg) was not very good."

缺點: "My connecting flight (booked through Emirates but operated by JetBlue) was inexplicably cancelled with 24h notice. Emirates did a good job finding me an alternative flight but somehow did not get my bags on my new flight even though the woman at the counter made a special call to "ensure" that my bags would come with me. Now I have to wait over 24h before I can get my bag."

I tried to get to the back, the crew dint even move to help us with anything. They sat together and were talking and dint even care to move. I have never seen this amount of careless attitude so far in emirates. Food quality has gone down quite a bit compared to my travel before."

I am quite tall and having the person in front of me recline is uncomfortable at all times, but while eating, there just isn't very much elbow room. Also the temperature in the cabin is really too cold. The entertainment system uses a two-prong plug for the headset, which requires you to bring an adapter if you want to use your own noise-blocking headset or headphones."

I travel a lot and in many airlines and whatever the case, staff members of other airlines smile, tell issues if any, suggest solutions and work on it. Emirates staff, it seems, does not know how to talk or smile."

They were very loud, often banging into other passenger's seats, and leaving their stuff in the aisle where people were tripping over things as they walked by. They were really inconsiderate of other passengers - many of whom were trying to sleep on a 13-hour flight. It would have been nice if the crew would have told them to be quieter and more respectful of other passengers."

優點: "This is the 4th times I use Emirates and they maintain their standards. The entertainment is very good, a lot of new movies and tv shows, in many languages. The quality of the plane is still amazing, I love Airbus even in economy class and I am 6'2 tall. So enough space for my legs, the plane seemed to be pretty new. Love it. No problem during the boarding. Staff very efficient at that time The same during the flight. they were there to provide us a high standards services. Thank you Emirates."

缺點: "Had requested for wheel chair assistance but was denied saying everyone was " too busy". When the passenger stated she cannot go without help, the flight attendant helped her out and to a bus. She almost fell while getting on to the bus. Assistance was requested because of her poor eye sight on the left eye and issues with mobility because of that. Although I'm glad nothing bad happened, denial of assistance and making her feel concerned and speak for herself for someone to help could have been avoided if Emirates could keep their promised support. Very disappointed."

優點: "Boeing 777 had an upgrade on the video display software, making for a more manageable video experience. It's easier to navigate because of the ability to close screens and go back to the screen you were on, rather than having to start over each time."
缺點: "I received a polite e-mail and a text message an hour or two later indicating that my flight from Taipei to HongKong had been delayed. It took a login to the Cathay Pacific web site to figure out that with the rescheduled time, I would miss my connecting flight from HongKong to Boston if I didn't change anything. I managed to sort it out, though it took using my cell phone to place an international call to the HongKong Cathay Pacific office to get me on an earlier flight. I don't think this is an acceptable level of service -- had I not had WiFi access or an international capable cell phone, I would have been stranded in Taipei or HongKong an extra day. I think CP could have done more to notify and help remediate the situation knowing the implication of the rescheduled flight. Food also remains mediocre, though slightly better."

缺點: "A good half the plane was first class and business class. (This was a 15 hour Hong King to Boston flight.) They handed out a fancy menu with 4 entrees but by the time they got to economy only pasta was left. We did at least get a small bottle of water; on our outgoing flight they doled it out in meager glasses. When boarding in Hong Kong we had to go through an additional security check between the gate and the plane (that was a first...) and had our water bottles confiscated. So we were reliant on what they would give us on the plane. Seats were tight, unlike some airlines that give you a little extra room. Wouldn't fly again unless their price was a real bargain."

優點: "Cathay was able to get my luggage off the plane that I missed. They also got me out of Hong Kong later that night with a quick stop at LAX before heading home to Boston. They really went the extra mile for this weary traveler."

缺點: "One of the flight attendants who was assigned to my section, her name was Rain, was incredibly rude. Every time I asked her for a glass of water, she would sigh heavily and tell me to wait. Eventually, she stopped serving me all together and I needed to leave my seat and ask other crew members to serve my food. She was completely unprofessional and she made it clear she didn't like me, despite the fact that I was always going out of my way to be courteous. At one point, she walked down the aisle and stepped directly onto my foot, which was NOT in the aisle but under the seat in front of me. She didn't even acknowledge that she had stepped on my foot and kept walking. For a 14-hour flight, I was really bothered by her lack of professionalism. I will have to think twice before I book Cathay Pacific again."

I would disagree - the customer is ultimately supposed to get an email notifying them of the flight change, giving them options. Based on that phone call with Webjet, I will NEVER do business with them again. As for the flight cancellation issue - if Kayak could help me get to the bottom of this, that would be appreciated."

All I wanted for food was no meat; I didn't expect it would have no ice cream and no real food. I should've, could've taken one of the options on the food list and push away the meat myself."

Our luggage was severely damaged. The handle to the suitcases was torn off. In addition the bags and the contents were wet when we received them in Boston. IT had been raining in Istanbul and it seems the bags were left out in the open. I've been trying to get Turkish to repair the torn-off handles but I'm constantly hitting a wall. I have filed a claim but the support staff sends extremely brief denials with no explanation."

My flight gate, number, and info to Boston was not even posted on the departure screen so I almost missed my flight- I had to go multiple times across the airport to find anyone to ask. The employees were rude and unhelpful. They did not assist or direct anyone or any of the chaos and they were slow and lacked any understanding to people whose flight was ten minutes till take off. Really unimpressed and highly considering avoiding taking them again to the Middle East in the future."

(I am not used to being a priority passenger!) Once my documents were cleared and my carry-on was inspected at the gate, it was not clear whether to take a seat or to go somewhere else."

A huge accomplishment. They really put most of their competitors to shame."

(but do they share my disgust?) Oh to fly, to find a cab to drive in the big city."

Later that night, we found our second flight HAD taken off, despite every single airline and airport staffer insisting that all flights were cancelled. We could have been home for New Year’s Eve instead of stuck in an airport. The next day, we still got mixed signals about how to check in. Then we found we had been given seats rows apart, despite being one booking. To be honest, we haven’t even taken this flight yet. Our rebooked flight on the following day is hours late and we’re waiting for it now. But I already know enough to post that I will never fly Turkish Airlines again."

缺點: "What was not fine was the horror at the other end when air Canada lost my bag (which had my suit and prescriptions) and couldn't tell me where it was or when it would be delivered for over two days of calling between their service centre and one the ground people at Boston. The call centre was in India, no one in Boston would tell them what was going on. It should not take three days to sort, when the bag had actually been sent on the next flight (on Saturday evening) after the one I took. Fortunately, was able to borrow BP medication from a relative and ultimately had to spend money to buy new suit and clothes before bag finally appeared because I had business meetings for which I needed appropriate attire. Every other airline I gave flown where my bag was delayed was always delivered in 24 hours. This was not Brussels airlines fault, it was the fault of air Canada."

優點: "The flight from Toronto to Boston is extremely short, about an hour. I don’t feel as though I can rate the food since I didn’t buy any, it just doesn’t give me an option to not rate it. It was a completely full flight. It was as comfortable as can be. It’s a smaller plane so you feel everything but the captains were good flyers."

Air Canada offered no help whatsoever and the guy at the “service” desk in Boston literally said there was nothing he could do to help. Not even find a new flight. Spent 90 minutes on the phone trying to re-book, plus re-booking hotel along the way."

I managed to help my neighbor passenger before landing and was very impressed to this flight attendant."

Each flight kept more or less to schedule."

優點: "I flew through Vancouver from Boston on my way to Brisbane, Australia and back. I was nervous at first because of the 2 hour connection windows. This might be a testament to Vancouver Airport more than Air Canada, but the flight home after an initial 14 hour flight was pain free. Boarding was fast (the flight wasn't full) and we ended up pulling away from the terminal early. I slept most of the flight so I can't really comment on food. The entertainment was the same as when i left for Australia, which was ok. It had a decent variety to select from."

They charged me $15 per leg to make advanced seat assignments ($60 total) then changed my flights and put me in middle seats on two legs without asking me - I didn't find out until I was ready to board and they called my name to come to the gate desk! They also charge $33+ US to check one bag. If you go over the 50 lb weight limit they charge $100. By the time you add it all up, I could have flown on Delta through the US for less. Trying to get my seat selection fees reimbursed was very difficult; At the airport, they told me to go online and ask for a refund; Online, I couldn't find the way to get to the refund link; Called Customer service again, who gave me an 800# to call for a refund; the person on the 800 # told me I had to request it online but walked me through it to find the refund link; I filled in the online request and was told by automatic reply that Air Canada would investigate it and get back to me within 3-4 weeks. Ugh! No more Air Canada for me!"

To add insult, they flight to Montreal was late, the flight to Boston was late, and finally my bag NEVER was on either flight so there excuse was an out right lie. I missed half the weekend home in over a month. AC doesn't value my time and I don't value their service. Every time I go back to this airline I realized why I left. Going to Asia; don't get suckered into using this route. BTW a friend on PVG-YUL-BOS never made it as well. AC still using a CRJ200 that can't land in weather. NOT A BUSINESS CLASS EXPERIENCE."

More than 7 hours on a plane with no food, and they only offered us water. The flight should have been cancelled in the first place. That would have been a lot less stressful to deal with."

優點: "This was my first time in Canada never been there before I had a great time until that one moment I had to deal with workers from air Canada except one agent at the ticketing desk....I had checked in online the day before however I had some card issues because they got shut down by my bank and due to the holiday in America I was unable to call my Bank prior to the airport....got to the airport and tried to explain that all I wanted to do was pay for my bag with cash ...but no one took the time out to listen each time i tried explaining myself I was send to a different location to join another line ....by the time I got to someone who was willing to listen my flight was closed ..her name was Aurora and gave me nothing but attitude when I explained my story......anyways finally got to ticketing and a met the only agent that day who exercise some level of customer service that day...if only I could remember her name ...sigh she went the extra mile because at this point I was frustrated and unsure if I would make it out of the country a sane person due to the amount of chaos I experienced prior. She got LISTENED .....SHE TOOK THE TIME TO LISTEN...got me on a new flight and went above an beyond to assist me that morning I was on the verge of a breakdown at that point all other staff member was very disgusting not only to my self but the other individuals who had mishaps that morning."

They fraught with malfunctions then after waiting in line for s while we did the whole check all over again with s human security agent in s booth... There were only 2 security agents in the booths as well but there really needed to be several more to keep the line moving quicker... After security we walk directly out to departures but no mention of baggage claim, which was fine had we not been misinformed by Swiss initially... We ended up inquiring several times with SirCsnsda staff until it was clear Swiss had misinformed us."

First, the flight was oversold, so only AFTER I was able to check my bag did I learn that I was flying stand-by. Completely nerve wracking. If I had known in advance I would have booked with another airline. I was able to get on the flight thanks to some volunteers who gave up their seats on the 8:10 AM flight for the next flight out (10:10 AM) in return for some monetary compensation. I arrived in Boston, and after waiting for 45 minutes, I learned my bag was put on the 10:10 AM flight rather than the 10:10 AM flight, but only after dealing with a snappy and disrespectful check-in attendant that seemed to not believe me that my bags indeed did not arrive. The office for baggage services for Air Canada was vacant and locked next to the carousel. Myself and a couple of other travelers, upon getting to the check-in counter and explaining the situation mistakenly lumped us all together and said "okay so you're all traveling together and your bags need to go the same place". Me: "No, that's incorrect, we are not related or traveling together, we just all have the same issue--none of our bags have arrived". Other Air Canada representative, who up to this point had not been involved in the exchange: "She didn't ask you if you were related, she asked you if your bags were lost" and then proceeded to roll her eyes and walk away from the counter. I suppose she misinterpreted my concern for rudeness and felt the need to put me in my place. Granted, my early morning flight cancellation and the stress associated with flying standby had nothing to do with them, but the attitude I was given as a concerned traveler whose bag was potentially lost was completely unwarranted. Compounded with the frustration of the entire morning I cannot describe how infuriating this exchange added up to being. I was told my bag would be delivered to my home by 4 PM that day. No bag. Got a phone call at 7 PM - they'd be there in the next hour. 10:00 PM and going to bed: No bag. I gave up and prepared to make a claim in the morning. 8:30 AM Sunday morning - my bag is sitting on my front porch wrapped in a trash bag. What a fiasco."

缺點: "Flight crew not helpful. Despite empty space in first class overheads, would not allow coach passenger to put anything there."

缺點: "Flight was delayed. They lost my baggage. TV in my seat didn't work and they didn't do anything about it."

優點: "-Staff offered free things like headphones and 15 minutes of wifi access to compensate for multiple delays -Cheap! -I was rescheduled to this flight after my previous flight was delayed and prevented me from taking my original flight back, but I was moved up to boarding zone 3 in return"
缺點: "-Significant delay prevented me from checking in to my room, which was highly inconvenient. Fortunately I had a friend who was willing to have me, but if not (and because the nearby hotels are filled up due to the beginning of freshman orientation at my college), I would have had nowhere to stay after 13+ hours of flying and exhaustion. This alone significantly hurt the experience."

優點: "Everything excep boarding on return flight."
缺點: "Delay on return & boarding was really slow! Not sure if it was the computers or attendants."

缺點: "Our inbound flight was two hours late. When connecting through Toronto, they lied to us. They said that the outbound connection was on time, that we'd likely missed it. Then, after standing through their requisite customer service line with only one open desk for two full flights, we were told to sprint through customs. We arrived, breathless to find the connection was delayed. We were told that they don't post the delayed connections for fear that passengers won't run or that U.S. customs will close. Uncommunicative and untruthful, their service is atrocious."

優點: "The gate crew in Toronto was outstanding.Very helpful in making sure we made it on to the Boston leg."
缺點: "We were at the gate in Toronto for the Boston leg but the computer assumed we would not make the connection because our layover was less than an hour. We booked through Kayak but were not told that the layover was too short."

優點: "Nothing"
缺點: "After waiting 30 minutes after our boarding time, I got an email on my phone saying the gate had changed. No one at the current gate knew anything about it and I went to ask but no one could be found. I asked a man sitting behind the gate, who happened to be the pilot, and he also knew nothing about it. Needless to say, the gate changed and absolutely nobody was told about it. 2 hours later, our flight finally took off, and I was thanked by the pilot for getting us to the right gate... At least he provided a little humor to the situation! Plane also wasn't cleaned, pretzels and trash all over the floor."

優點: "It left ontime and got me to where I needed to be."
缺點: "Pretzels are gross and dry. Jet Blue has much better snack choices. Overheard bins were really small on this small aircraft."

優點: "For a small aircraft like that, it was really comfortable."

缺點: "No cookie."

優點: "It was a short flight but smooth and on time."

缺點: "Crew stopped severing prematurely. He said we were about to land and failed to serve my row and the one behind me. In the end we still had 30 minutes before we started the initial descent. When the person behind me spoke to him about it the steward was rude to him."
