Right on State Street downtown, middle of shopping and seat/drink. Continental breakfast is pretty good with lots of selection.
Room a bit small.
Loved the location and ambiance of this hotel. Staff was friendly and we had a nice stay.
The shower head water pressure wasn’t strong enough. Hard to rinse soap off of my hair. That was my only issue. This is a great place to stay.
Overall good experince
Decent and attractive accomodations, unbeatable location, staff were all great.
I was awakened by security discussing the drunken behavior of someone a few doors down. It seemed to go on longer than it should have though I recognize there's only so much control they have. But take note they post lots of quiet hours signs so they must attract partiers on and off.
We will be back
This hotel exceeded all expectations. It is an older building and they have done an outstanding job keeping the character while providing modern amenities. The location is great, we arrived and departed town via the Amtrak station, which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Its location near shopping, dining, and nightlife is perfect. And to top it off, I think the highlight is the staff. The people running this place obviously have instilled a high level of courtesy, customer service, and friendliness in the staff. You can't go wrong.
Historic hotel. Great location! Friendly staff
A bit noise at night from the surrounding bars but not too bad. Rooms are a bit small Only one slow antique elevator.
First time at Hotel SB
Great location, it is right at the very central of downtown area. Close to all the good eating locations. the room is clean. Staff is very friendly.
THE ELEVATOR!!!! OMG!!!!
The breakfast and nice size rooms. I like the parking valet system too.
The wifi does not work, so it's frustrating.
Nice Location but some negatives
Location right on State Street where all of the great shops and restaurants are was great. Valet guys were pretty nice.
Room smelled slightly smoky even though it was a non smoking room. Our room was close to the ancient elevator from 1926 and it sounded like our hotel room was in a subway station which was a bummer when we wanted to sleep in. A bunch of sketchy characters hang out right outside the front door of the hotel on State Street at night. Wasn't aware that parking was $10 until we arrived at the hotel.
Room smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. We called the front desk and were offered another room however.
The bed was so comfy and I like noon check out:)
The room was a little small
