San Antonio runs on a deep mix of military tradition and Tejano culture, and the southwest side of the city carries both. The Best Western Plus Lackland Hotel & Suites sits just minutes from Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, a familiar landing spot for families in town for a basic training graduation and for travelers headed downtown alike. Spacious suites give graduation weekends and longer stays room to breathe, each with a flat-screen TV, microwave, and refrigerator, and a free hot breakfast gets the morning moving. Cool off in the pool, keep things simple with free parking and a guest laundry, then head out; the River Walk, the Alamo, and the centuries-old missions are an easy drive, and a Spurs game rounds out the weekend. Few cities reward a visit quite like this one, with three centuries of history packed along the river. Set down here and let San Antonio show you around.
