Very good position, all major historical sights in the walking distance. Friendly and english speaking staff, quiet and nice location. Older and simple furniture, but room and guest house were clean.
There is no normal reception so it is needed to announce your arrival time in advance. Very simple and basic breakfast. No dinning room, so the only possibility is to have a breakfast in the room. There are no family rooms. We ordered (and paid for) quadruple room but we got a double room with two extra beds.
no boiling water. No kettle even in kitchen
Good location in a mansion with a beautiful old elevator (location not far from Castello Sant' Angelo). Little room with cheap but nice furniture. Room was made up every day, clean towels every day. In total: the price is definitely too high, even considering the center position in the capital city.
First of all, this is not a hotel but a guest house, it doesn't have a normal reception and you have to advise them about the exact time of your arrival to be able to check in. While doing the check-in the receptionist was constantly speaking by phone, then we had to wait till she (receptionist=room maid) finishes to do our room (though we advised about time of our arrival and came even later). She didn't explain us anything about breakfast. Basically the breakfast is: tiny kitchen 2m*1m with a coffee machine & croissants "7days" (as we understood, u are supposed to take food to your room). We didn't understand how the coffee machine works,so had breakfast always in a bar nearby. Little stains of mould in shower cabin, but rest is quite clean
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean facilities. Good location.
The breakfast options were limited.
The best part was that we were very close to the Vatican city (10 minutes walk) and we could reach it very easily without car.
Excellent location and big family room (1 double bed, 2 twin beds); friendly staff. Perfect in Rome !
Breakfast supplies could be improved !
splendid location, friendly staff, reasonable price
breakfast could be a little bit better
The easy reach to the city center, nice neighbourhood
The breakfast stand was always empty so actually u only pay for the bed not the breakfast and may be u should put this "guest house" in a different category as it is not a hotel it doesn't have a sign outside even. Hard to find... Cosy though
It was located in a good area as we were able to walk to a lot of places
It is not really a hotel. It is an apartment which has 6 separate rooms. A person is there for a couple of hours in the day. There is no real breakfast or a place to eat anything. There is no English tv. Just a bare room.
It is a charming, very good situated (10 min walk from Vatican) place with an excellent equipment in the very nicely furnished rooms. The bathroom is rather small but very well equipped as well. As our flight was late in the night we were even allowed to leave our luggage in the room, and we could still use it even at 6 pm.
As this is not a regular hotel, there is no standard reception either so you cannot ask the crew for help, but there is a phone number which you can call in any case. There is no breakfast room, and the choice for the breakfast itself is very poor but instead it is available 24 hours a day. But anyway the best solution is to take a “cappuccino-cornetto” in one of the bars just around the corner.
With a stay at Piccolo Imperiale, you'll be centrally located in Rome, just a 3-minute walk from Via Cola di Rienzo and 7 minutes by foot from Castel Sant'Angelo. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and an elevator. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
