All the staff were great, and very efficient. Room was ready nice & early which was very welcome. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Food was very good.
Standard room is very small, and bathroom even smaller. The room was also quite hot, but it was a very mild weekend, so that wouldn't have helped. Common areas are very dark.
the ambience of restaurant/bar and the bedroom all combine to a design exoerience
the lighting in the first room where the hall of the bedroom was lit if the bedlights were on.so bad that we transferred rooms
Able to walk into restaurant without having to book. Food was tasty and well cooked. menu was varied and interesting. Perhaps over priced.
Room was a bit pokey.
We enjoyed our stay and found the staff very helpful.
Since my husbsband is a larger man. We found our room a little to small.
Deep hot bath. Excellent shower. Unusual choice of hot breakfasts.
The room was rather dark and the light very poor for putting on make-up.
The decor is modern and stylish. The building itself is unusual with a boutique feel. The staff were responsive and helpful. Location wise its a short walk to shops, bars and restaurants but feels like a safe, quieter area (opposite police station!)
The rooms are quite small, some internal facing with no windows opening to fresh air.
Service in the Restaurant and lounge areas was very poor even though there was plenty of staff. Staff seemed inexperianced abd unaware of service required in a quality hotel. I ahve stayed at both Birmingham and Manchester Malmaison`s which were excellent.
the comfy bed, peace and quiet and nice decor
traffic noise, assume this is because listed building
The staff, services and the price for dinner, bed and breakfast makes this hotel an excellent 'economical' luxury choice. Malmaison must be congratulated for using locally sourced products in their menus! The choice and quality of food was fantastic.
The room was very small and very, very warm with no air conditioning- a small fan is provided but they must consider the use of mobile air conditioning units- to ensure the comfort of guests during the summer months! The sommelier should also inform guests of the cost of wine he is recommending!!
Room good, staff very helpful and friendly, food good
Close to city centre but in a quiet location.
