Friendly staff, clean and affordable.
Not soundproof but not a problem.
Very friendly staff and traditional Japanese style hotel
Staff was nice, they try very hard to acccomodate you, made my stay very easy
Need to know some japanese to communicate
My main reason for choosing Fukudaya was the feeling of home but not solely a place for me to rest. I really love the staffs there, especially the granny :> she's so lovely! Most of the staffs there are able to communicate in English or even Mandarin.
I don't really like the scent in the room :/ that's my personal opinion.
staff were friendly and good value for money
Service in Japan is always very good. This includes the price.
I only stayed 1 night.
(stayed in a double Japanese style room). I liked this hotel. It's an authentic budget style hotel. Service is minimal (no food service), but polite. The rooms are basic, but clean, and quite pleasant.
The room on the first night was a little noisy, but they let me move to another room next day.
Stayed in traditional room. Bedding was foam matress - uncomfortable. Bathroom was small. There was no cupboard or wadrobe in the room. There was no chair, stool or desk in the room. I would not stay there again. There was no power point in the bathroom. Girl friend not happy.
It was affordable and within walking distance of Shibuya station.
Located in Tokyo (Meguro), Hotel Fukudaya is within a 15-minute walk of Shibuya Crossing and Cerulean Tower. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
