The staff are lovely & really do try to help, however, communication between them is definitely lacking. The rooms are really clean & beds are comfy - which I can get for £45 per night.
The checkin procedure was really difficult as I am from Spain & my card wouldn't go through - it kept saying it was the wrong pin but it had worked previously & when I checked my pin in front of the receptionist, it confirmed I was using the right one. Their system just wouldn't take my card - even though if he used it like a phone booking, the card was accepted. I had to checkin twice as the system was a 2 day stay, then I had added 1 night so I had to process them seperately (knew this would cause problems later) so I kept insisting that they knew that I wasn't moving out of the room & they needed to ensure this.The room had no safe - even though they tried to insist that there was one in there & I just hadn't seen it! Maintenance crew came to check, then realised to their amusement that there wasn't one, so I asked him to install one & he was lovely. Hairdryer blew the fuses 3 times whilst I was trying to get ready - turns out it was wired into the lighting instead of the sockets & was practically melting off the wall! Awful smell & a trek to get to your room &/or the leisure facilities, which I had repeatedly tried to book through their online system to no avail. Toilet didn't flush properly. I had a relaxing 1 hr full massage prior to all of this( which was amazing btw) - needless to say, that totally negated any effect as I was really stressed an hour later, due to trying to get ready for an important meeting & the hairdryer cutting out the electrics, so was not worth it. I did complain, receptionist was lovely & he offered me a complimentary massage, which I accepted. Was told the Spa would ring me but they didn't, so ended up going down on my last day to find out why, to be told they knew nothing about it. They gave me a 30 minute facial - not what I had in mind. On my last day I was not in the system for a breakfast - in fact, I wasn't in the system under the same room, they had checked me out of my room, so the TV no longer worked but I just couldn't be bothered to go back down to reception. All in all, not a good stay. You need to sort out many niggly problems
