Best hotel I ever visited. Staff are top class and hotel is 3* but should be at least 4. View from hotel is outstanding. Jacuzzi with mountain wiew is the best. I recomend to stay at this hotel rather any in Zakopane, because is quiet and is on top of the hill.
The location of the hotel and the availability of parking in Zakopane.
Not speaking Polish, there is a sign for the hotel on the main road 5km ahead, but a further sign indicating the turn off would be a great help.
If you want to experience the mountains and you don't fancy staying in Zakopane which is crowded and busy and almost city-like, then Hotel Redyk in Zab is great. It is only 10 km from Zakopane anyway and it is in a tranquil area in a tiny village above Zakopane. The hotel seems to have been recently re-furbished and everything is in good order. The restaurant has quite a good menu, the staff are helpful and friendly, and the view from the restaurant and some of the rooms is simply great. If you're hooked on news even when on holiday, bbc World is available on tv, and free Internet access in the lobby is very useful.
Just that tea-making facilities were available in the room, but no coffee, milk or tea were provided.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice views on the mountains. Just beside a ski slope, must be nice during the winter time. Quite close to Zakopane (10 min by car).
We were there with our 7mth old child and frankly speaking there isn't much possibility of walking in the surrounding with a child. The hotel is located on a main road to Zakopane (precisely to Poronin) on which cars drive quite fast and there is no walking path... We went there to avoid the crowded Zakopane but finally ended at Zakopane by car...
Great location with open countryside and fabulous views of the High Tatra Mountains. The breakfast offered a very wide choice of food including regional dishes and dinner was also very good.A car is probably a must here as its too far to walk into Zakopane if you plan any walks in the Tatras.
Newish, well designed hotel, with a fantastic view of the Tatra Mountains. Good service and friendly staff. Food was mainly good and very good value. Good view of the mountains from our room (when the clouds cleared!).
Zakopane was quite difficult to reach due to heavy traffic. Little to do in the evenings. Only one English language tv station (bbc World News). Room was only adequate size.
Staff very friendly, everywhere very clean and the food was good
I think on second thoughts we were too far away from Zakapane centre, as the taxi's were fairly expensive and the last bus was 10.30pm
The view of the mountains. I also like the choice of food and drinks for breakfast
the beds were very hard and not very comfortable
