The location was perfect for walking to multiple destinations--US Open shuttles, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row. We brought our bikes and cycled down the coast to 17-mile drive (which was closed due to the golf tourney.) There were bike lanes most of the way with multiple stops for amazing vistas. The people at the front desk were very nice and check-in/check-out was a breeze.
The rooms were stuffy with poor circulation. We had to run both fans (ceiling and floor) the entire stay, even though a marine layer moved in and dropped the temps. Also, the walls and floors are poorly soundproofed so we heard a lot of noise above us (we were on the 2nd floor) and outside the window.
The bed was actually comfortable, and the view of the beach is pretty amazing.
You get charged the price of your stay twice, the water in the shower never got hot, the sheets were damp, water stays in the bottom of the shower. This is basically a run down motel with a nice view, everything looks like it’s from the 80’s 90’s. If you have a low profile car good luck finding parking as most the front parking is taken up so they send you to their underground lot, we ended up parking across the street as there was no way we’d get into the garage without scraping.
Bed was comfortable and TV worked. Location was also ok.
Where to start. Parking was a nightmare. You aren't guaranteed a spot outside or in the garage. They said that street parking is allowed until 11am, however, it's first come first serve and there is a restaurant across the street, making it even harder to find parking at a reasonable time. Heater in the room didn't work, had to resort to a small space heater (they couldn't move me due to being sold out). Hotel is VERY outdated and looks nothing like the pictures online. Walls are paper thin, it felt like I was staying at a hostel, not a hotel. Breakfast was ok at best.

There was no AC. There were spiders around the doors. The surrounding area looked run down.

Room old & dirty. TV didn't work. No roof top access. Lots of boarded up rooms. Not a good experience.
Location was perfect and Juliana was absolutely wonderful! She was so helpful and funny, she even recommended a fabulous restaurant across the street for us and gave us a free appetizer. Beds were comfortable, there were no noises or anything, and breakfast was basic but good. Can't go wrong!
Parking garage was only open on one end and turning around in there was challenging.
It's across the street from the water. Would you believe that this place has mostly ocean view rooms for this price! I sat in the morning in my room drinking my coffee and looking at the water or watching people walking down the beach from my window. The beds are clean, bathroom is good, people at the front desk are happy and friendly. A little noisy since the building is older and lots of families stay there. But everything else is great! Couldn't ask for more.
Good location, but old building with some minor is
Good location, right at Lover's Point. The free WiFi was good enough to stream a kids show via Netflix.
Very noisy with thin walls. The rooms are on the small side with an odd layout. However, it has everything you need for a short stay.
Great location - Poor hotel
This hotel depends on its superior location for its business. The facility otherwise is lacking in every other category. There are too many better hotels in the area for the price.
It would behoove the owners to spend a little money on this facility as it is run down and inoperative. What work was done was not to any professional level i.e. shower stalls with large holes where the installer completely missed the plumbing opening. We complained that the drain was so slow that standing water backed up 4" deep. Came back that night with no repair. Also came back to an room that had not been cleaned. AM staff would only ARGUE that there was a do not disturb sign on door. We did not leave one.
The location and staff was friendly. Had a mini fridge and microwave which is all you really need. Very clean and had a nice little tv.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable. I'm not sure if the walls are very thin or because our room was a Couple feet from where the cars park but you could hear every little sound outside of the room. The people above us had lead feet as well buts that's not necessarily the hotels fault.

Price, Breakfast was OK, ocean across the street, breakfast was OK, refrigerator in room was a plus, close to where I needed to go.
Below parking felt dicey, rooms need upgrading.
