It's as good as the other reviews say!
Room clean and comfortable. Easy walking distance of Downtown and Dundas square. Miko (co- owner?) is exceedingly helpful and friendly. Kitchen is well stocked for breakfast. Shower worked well, as did aircon in room. Absolutely no complaints.
None of the following are complaints, but merely warnings that it is what it is. The house itself is quite old so there are some effects from that ( the wiring sometimes shows -although it all works fine). The street is not in the most salubrious part of town, but it doesn't feel dangerous at all. The kitchen can be a bit small depending on how full the house is and how many want to eat breakfast at the same time (earlier is quieter), so breakfast can be a friendly affair with the chance to chat to the other guests.
It was a secure entry and I liked the ease of access to enter the building and the email that was sent was very easily understood.
The parking permit had to be dropped off, so how was I to put in on the inside of my car. Especially if I was to be out past midnight, which was my plan. I ended up getting a 30 dollar parking ticket which was the alternative to finding paid parking elsewhere, which i was not willing to do.
Host was congenial and helpful.
Great location, great service. Place was clean.
I liked the breakfast and the comfort of the rooms. It was like a home away from home.
Shower was a bit small, but it's workable.
