OK experience, good location, poor staff
My hotel room was on the top floor, it was really nice and clean and luxurious, the views were great
Bathroom a bit small, could hear some noises in the corridor
The rooms were spacious with all modern cons. The rooftop pool was great however opening hours would be extended.
The check in staff were appalling. I arrived at 1am carrying 3 heavy bags after a long flight from London. There were 2 men behind reception who say me arrive and that I was struggling with my bags but they continued their own discussion. On a positive, check in was quick but they gave me my key without telling me where I needed to go or offering to help with my luggage. I had to ask where I was going and by the surly answer I got back and the complete lack of interest they showed me, I didn't dare to ask for help with my bags. I enquired about breakfast and they told me that all hotel resident information could be found in my room! Their customer service skills were none apparent and I was truly shocked at how they treated me.
It was very central and the staff were very helpful. Everything was warm and inviting.
After having stayed in hotels in Singapore and Malaysia it was a bit confusing that bottled water left by the side of the bed (and not in the fridge) was not free. A note should be put with the bottles so there is no confusion.

Hello, i was very happy with our room and its facilitys. I did think that the bed was too soft and that the lounge and chair although welcome, could have been a little more stylish. Thankyou
Room was supposed to be non smoking but smell was awful and room had to be re freshed, very tired and run down.
Very close to entertainment venues and restaurants. Great parking next door. Loan of umbrella's was appreciated.
At reception, on arrival they had to look hard for our reservation and at departure they insisted that the bill had not been prepaid. After I showed paperwork they still had to check with Accounts. Disappointing.
I loved the location of the hotel, it was so close to everything we had planned in Melbourne such as AFL, shopping and Museums.
The bar shut way too early on the Saturday night so after we came back from a restaurant we had to go over the road to another pub (which was busy and very noisy) for a nightcap. Poor form. The bar should stay open late for residents.
