The hotel was clean, neat and tidy (no 'roaches climbing the ceilings). The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the chap with the moustache who helped us out by pointing out the interesting places to see on a map. The hotel was conveniently located for most of the attractions (not just the cathedral and Alcazar but also the marmalade-selling nuns of Santa Paula and the excellent Museum of Flamenco which puts on a quite exhilarating show at 7/7:30pm most evenings).
No breakfasts. There was no large double beds, just two single (or maybe small double) beds that we had to push together.
We thought the staff was very nice and the hotel clean and comfortable. The location was fairly convenient for walking to everything we wanted to see in the historic city.
The elevator was unreliable, there was no window in the room other than to an inner courtyard, there was unexplained noise throughout the night, there was no real lobby to sit in and no restaurant or breakfast service.
the reception staff, we meet two, one in the morning and evening
the broken toilet which was dangerous, and was an accident waiting to happen because it was cracked at the base meeting with the tiled floor around the bolt fixing. It was reported to reception on the morning we left 8th oct. We would return to the hotel and would reccomend it.
Very comfortable, friendly staff, great value for money. 10- 15 min walk to centre and excellent a/c, essential when it was 39c in mid-september.
Very convenient location, nice small hotel which is above the more famous restaurant with the same name which is an excellent place to eat. Aslo recommended a visit to the shop where you will find mots of Sevillian and Spanish typical products.
What did not work for me was the mattress in the bed, which was quite uncomfortable. The rooms either face the main busy road or some inner courts which are very small and not well aventilated, so you feel a bit claustrofobic, especially during the warm and long summer.
Very clean and comfortable and fairly spacious. Nice bathroom including hairdryer. Very good location. Good location with 10 - 15 walk to the cathedral. Sevilla's oldest tapas bar, the Rinconcillo lies on the other side of the square. Very good value.
Our window had no view - but those at the front of the hotel overlooked the square and had wrought iron balconies.
Excellent staff and good apartments. Totally recommended!
Refrigerator filled with cold drinks was priceless during hot days. Niecely chilled rooms equipped with quiet AC, bath and decent shower without these terrible plastic courtains. Perfect location - 10 minutes walk to the Cathedral through old city beatiful narrow steets. Good (and cheap) places to eat / tapas bars in the area. Overall a good place to stay (although not overly modern or luxurious) despite of some minor disadvantages described below.
They made one serious blunder - gave the key (card) to our room to a wrong person so we ended up face to face with an equally surprised guest returning from his evening out to a wrong room. To be honest it was mainly the guest's fault as he had tried to use his card, and after it had not worked (which is not surprising having in mind he was trying to enter the wrong room!) he went down to the reception desk and asked the card to be replaced, giving his room number (again - wrong room number...). Still - not a nice experience to see a stranger entering your room... Also, our remote for tv was missing - not much of a problem as tv channels are in Spanish only :)
Good location, about 15 minutes walk to the center of Seville, cheap price
