The hotel was just what I needed - close to public transport, easy to access, a wholesome breakfast each morning, central to being able to get out and about to tour and sightseeing around the city, close to convenience stores and restaurants. The room was clean, modern and functional with staff very helpful who spoke English as a second language very well. I have not hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone who needs a good quality, affordly place to stay.
The room is small and there is no fridge/kettle/tea/coffee in the room but given it was a place to sleep and shower, it was fine.
Location is good and the hotel staff is very courteous.
No fridge in the room.
The bed was a bit hard.
ibis Kiev City Center is located in the Shevchenko district, which was the center of ancient Kiev once. Therefore, there are a lot of tourist attractions to visit: in 1,5 km from the hotel there is the Golden Gate, in 2 km - the Sofia's square, and across the street - the Vladimirsky cathedral. In 10 minutes walk you can reach the metro station "Univercity", in 5 minutes - several bus stations. Around the hotel you can find many museums and theaters, National Ukrainian Opera and a park of Shevchenko.
