The Pride of Paddington is a traditional London pub with rooms, right in the heart of Paddington and just a stone’s throw from Paddington Station. We’ve been welcoming drinkers, diners and overnight guests since 1920, from our characterful old townhouse in one of London’s busiest neighbourhoods. This isn’t a conventional hotel — and we rather like it that way. Check-in is at the bar, because when you stay with us, you really are staying above the pub. Our rooms are spread across the first to fourth floors of our historic building, reached by a winding staircase full of old London character. As you might expect from a building of this age, there is no lift, so guests should be comfortable using the stairs. Our location is wonderfully connected, but it also comes with the sounds and rhythms of London life. Paddington’s trains run beneath the building, so during waking hours you may notice the occasional low rumble or vibration as trains pass below. You may also hear the gentle buzz of the pub downstairs and the hustle and bustle of the city outside. For guests looking for complete peace and quiet or the facilities of a modern hotel, we may not be the perfect fit. But if you want to stay somewhere with history, personality and a proper London pub at its heart, while being moments from one of the city’s best-connected stations, you’ll feel right at home.
