Unfriendly staff

優點： Nothing

缺點： The staffs are unfriendly and attention to detail is poor.

Avood if you can but read small print in detail before choosing

優點： We were hiring a convertible at the last minute and Economy /Allied had the best price. The car was fine if a bit battered

缺點： The pick up experience was awful. Delay to get it then the manager insisted we pay another 53 for insurance despite me showing I had alternative insurance in place. He was very dogmatic actually refusing to rent and offering zero refund on the prepayment. Shortly after us the next customer had an even worse experience with fees and charge. Avoid this rental agency and Kayak please don’t include it in your comparisons and it’s not a like for like one and the

No shuttle at LAX and no details provided on how to get there

缺點： Economy rentals provides ZERO guidance on how to get from the terminal at LAX to their rental location. Only rental co without a shuttle. Learned from yelp reviews that I would need to take metro bus (picks up from terminal 4...I landed at southwest terminal 1) to an offsite location in order to then be picked up by an Economy shuttle. I looked up on maps where the bus would drop off/pick up and saw that it was in a really sketchy area (from past experience during the daytime). However when I landed this time it was 10pm. I am a 25 yr old woman and had three bags to carry. NO THANK YOU. I also saw in the reviews that many people were forced to pay extraneous and excessive fees (e.g. liability insurance even when your credit card/travel ins. already cover it). I ended up taking a lyft line to where I was staying in hollywood instead of making the hr trek to the rental location where I would most likely end up forking over much more than I had prepaid for. They have a zero refunds/cancellations/changes policy so instead of arranging to pick up the car the next day I just had to take the loss.

Miserable...

優點： The counter people at the actual LAX car rental office were helpful and professional.

缺點： Upon arrival at LAX, there was no information about where or how the shuttle would be caught. After waiting where all other rental shuttles were caught, and then asking several other shuttle drivers where the pick-up for Economy was, my husband and I both called the Economy help-line, were put on hold, and then DROPPED for a total of 7 times. One operator was even rude in response to our tale of dropped calls. This part of the experience was completely unprofessional and uncalled for! When we finally made a GUESS as to how to get to the pickup by asking bus drivers, we got a bus to a shuttle pickup location off airport, and then made it to the off airport car lot. Simple instructions for any airport shuttle pick up should be provided. It would not be difficult to do. The actual counter people were professional and helpful, but by this time we were boiling, and we are not high maintenance travelers. Though the car was serviceable, we will not use Economy again.
