The Soggiorno Laura is located very close to the center, the Duomo is only a 10 min. walk. It is a good choice for those travelling on low budget.
They do not speak English which caused many issues and our experience was that sometimes they tried to understand our English, but when it was not in their favor they just said 'No capisco', this sentence became very annoying. Also the breakfest is very poor, you cannot really call it breakfest it is rather a morning snack. Be aware that the photos published does not show the reality, rooms are very small as well as the bathroom.
The lounge is a nice way to socialize with fellow travelers
shower facilities in a double room were rather cramped
The location is good. The terrace outside is a good place to eat take out food.
Bath is very small. Walls are paper thin so it can be bad if you have noisy neighbor (like we did!). We cannot use the kitchen even though there is one for the students staying there. WiFi is free for the first hour but have to pay 2 Euro for each additional.
The location is good, even if you are in Florence by car - a parking lot is about 500 m away, the walk to Duomo - about 15 minutes. The staff don't talk English, but we could practice our poor Italian :)
It is quite impossible to find the place - we walked up and down via Cavour couple of times until we noticed a tiny plate, about size of a credit card with name on it. The rooms are very, very small and dark, too. Our bathroom was unbelievably small - it was even difficult to turn around there.
Cleanliness of the rooms
The fact that there were mosquitos in the room & we were not told how to deal with them!
within walking distance to everything worth seeing, a nice quiet street, with plenty of food places around.
The staff. They were really kind.
The hotel is a little bit far from the train station, and I did not find this information in the site. So, I think that it is necessary to indicate a bus to go to the hotel.
1. Very difficult to find, no sinificant indication. 2. Room is diffrent from the photo listed in the booking.com 3. Breakfast is very simple. 4. Hotel staff cannot speak English at all.
the feeling of having a genuine Italian experience, living in an old stone building
continental breakfast included cold toast and store -bought crossiants, juice, coffee or tea
