Had a 2 nights stay and was very satisfied. A few meters from Subway, but so close to the city center that you can walk there within minutes. Lan-Internet in the room and 2 professional massage chairs in the lobby for free.
The room was the biggest I had in Japan. Big storage space too, only 4 hangers though.
No elevator, but the hotel has only 2 floors anyway. Since I arrived too early for check-in, I was able to leave my suitcase and the hotel staff brought my suitcase to my room so the lack of elevator was not a big trouble.
The room was clean and functional, missing a bit of confort taking into consideration the price that we paid. The location is good, walking distance from Gion and a fea temples. A metro station was also a 5 min walk.
Lots of great amenities for budget accommodation - Internet, washing, coffee, and so forth. Staff was extremely helpful, and very friendly.
Pillows were hard and uncomfortable - made sleeping difficult. The bathroom was a plastic addition, and a smell was apparent if the fan was left off for more than short periods of time.
Location- it's in a great place to go out and see Kyoto
Location- it was very difficult for the taxi driver to find.
I fond the facilties wery confortable and useful.
I liked everything
